This cutie-pie is a great way to give someone a hug that you've never met but who means something special to you. Pass it on to 10 others..... Well, my circle of blogging friends is still pretty small, but girls, you know who you are, and I hope you know that I appreciate your kindess, thoughtful words and encouragement, and that I wish you hugs and happiness each and every day. Feel free to grab up these awards and post and or share them on your blogs if you would like. Have a beautiful day!

Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down
Sanctify the congregation, assemble the aged; gather the children, even infants at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room, and the bride her canopy.

Good Friday morning to you! This card is one I pulled from the file of cards that I did for Kim's birthday card box a few posts ago. I wanted to add a few masculine cards to her all occasion card box, and I thought this one would work well for the many hunters in the famly. I pulled out a retired Stampin' Up! set from the Country Living Promo a couple of years ago, and paired it with the new Nature's Silouette set. (Love both those sets) I added some eyelets and brought those together with some twine for texture, and added a little more texture with the stitched felt ribbon strung through the Happy Birthday sentiment. This was a very fast and easy card to put together, and I'm happy with the masculine "guy card" look that it has. We have some guy birthdays coming up in the family, so hopefully Kim will get to put her new cards to good use. Thanks for stopping by today, and I wish you a day filled with peace, love and joy! May God's blessings be upon you today and always! Happy Stamping!

Our second stamp club project for the night was this 6x6 recipe page. These are so much fun to make, and I'm really excited about the fact that at the end of our stamping year we will have a complete little cookbook with recipes shared from special stamping friends. That's just pretty awesome in my book. I told the girls that I really have some issues, because the way I'm wired, I'm thinking if I have a chicken recipe, I need a stamp with chickens to use for it, or if I have a recipe using strawberries, I MUST use a strawberry stamp. Well, I decided that I needed to quit stressing about that, get over it, and see what I could come up with or how creative I could get with what I have. This is the result of my first attempt at that. I just love the little Voila chef, and I think he works very well with this chicken enchilada recipe. I'm thinking Mr. Voila will get a lot of use during this stamping year. I chose the DSP (Urban Garden) first, and let the page come together all on its own from there. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and I'm ready to try those enchiladas. They sound YUMMY!!!!!

This would be Oliver, Lola, and my son's Pomeranian (Phoebe) in a three way tug of war over a stuffed reindeer. Mind you they each have their own stuffed reindeer, but playing with your own toy wouldn't be at all fun, now would it?

Good morning, and happy Friday to you! As you can see, I have a couple of blog awards to share with you this morning. My amazing friend Mary posted the I *heart* your blog award for me this morning on her blog. Thanks Mary! That was sweet of you, and I'm sending this one right back at you! I LOVE your blog too! The butterfly award on the left came from the very talented and creative Sandra quite some time ago. I saved the image, but at the time, I wasn't so blog savvy, and didn't quite know what to do with it, or how to link it up. Not that I AM blog savvy now, but I have muddled my way through and managed to figure a few more things out. Anywho, thanks Sandra! Yours was the first blog award I ever received. I thank you both from the bottom of my heart!
I've been working on Mardi Gras cards for the Sisterhood of the Traveling cards swap, so hopefully I'll have a picture of those to share with you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed day!
