Recipe Challenge & A Card For Men

Hello!  I'm so glad you could stop by, becaue I have a couple of projects to share that I've been working on for the past few days.  Well, these, and a few card and card kit swaps!!  I've been swamped with swaps!!  LOL!!!  Anywho, I did get to play along with my regular Recipe Challenge Blog challenge, along with the card below, which I made for the Cards For Men Challenge Blog.

I used the amazing cupcake paper from Scrapbook Store at Your Door for this 6x6 recipe card, and the cupcake brad that matches is another great find from there.  Julie can hook you up with all your recipe card needs in one stop.  You really should check it out!!!  I hand cut the title and layer, and popped it up on foam dots.  To finish this page off, I made the bow out of some pretty polka dotted organza ribbon, and used the cupcake brad to secure it.  This was a fast and easy page, and those cupcakes are delicious!!  My DH's family has made these for as long as I can remember, and they're always a hit!!!  Be sure to head on over to The Recipe Challenge Blog, and check out what the girls have for you to cook up.  Oh, my are there some yummy treats there for both your creative, and culinary inspiration.

My froggy card is made for the Cards For Men Challenge Blog this week, where we are challenged to do a little paper piecing.  This adorable Pocket Patootie frog is a digi purchase from The Stamping Boutique, who also happens to be sponsoring the Cards For Men Challenge this week.  I did my paper piecing on the pocket, and the patches for the pocket.  He was colored with my Copic markers,  and the image was cut with my nestie dies.  The card stock and DP all come from Stampin' Up!, as does the sentiment, and while you can't tell it so much from the photo, I used some twine in place of ribbon for a more masculine touch.   For some reason, I had a really hard time getting the colors to come out right in this photo, and  the twine is really hard to see.  I guess I had a little too much light for photographing today.  LOL!!!  Those are words you haven't heard from me for a while.  The sun has been very elusive for us all winter, and it's so good to see it again, so I'm NOT going to complain one bit!!  We can live with a few bright photos just fine!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you find some time to play along with these challenges this week.  I enjoy the challenges so much, and I know you will too!  Have a blessed day, and happy stamping!

Love ya,
