Busy Beauties Go Burtonesque

Not only do we have some marvelously macabre new images to share with you today, but we also have some fun & funky friends joining us today:  The Burtonesque Dolls! Our new images are inspired by the Tim Burton classic, "THE CORPSE BRIDE", and BBB illustrator Thomas Goins has really outdone himself with these amazing images! We thought they would be right up the Dolls' alley, so we invited them along for the hop *and* are super excited to announce that Busy Beauties Boutique will be sponsoring their challenge next week!

My card for this spooktacular event was created with the Corpse Bride image, and was colored with my Copic markers.  You can't have a wedding without bling, so I added some black glitter to the brackets that were an element in the wonderful sketch Catherine provided for the Busy Beauties Creation Station challenge this week.  The paper all came from my scrap drawer, and the sentiment was cut with my Cricut Expression using the Sweethearts cartridge.  I added some black pearls down the left side of the sketch just to balance things out a bit, and voila!  Who exactly I'll send this card to, I'm not quite sure.  We'll see!  I usually go for the cutesy type images when choosing stamps, but I have to admit that this was a fun challenge, both with the image and the sketch.  That's what it's all about, right?  Thinking outside of the box, and working outside of your comfort zone, to learn and be challenged, and for me, this card fit that bill in every respect.

Here is the complete list of hop stops for today, and we have prizes so fab, it's freaky! Be sure to hop along and leave lots of comment love, because there are TWO Secret Beauties or Dolls along this Burtonesque inspired hop… and TWO winners will be selected from their blog comments to receive 5 (yep, FIVE) Busy Beauties images of his/her choice! So whether you are in the mood to be beauty-ful or get funky,we've got you covered.
Lorie (You are here)

I'm so happy you could join us for the hop today.  Be sure to check out all the blogs along the way, and leave those comments, because YOU could be the lucky winner!  Have a wonderful day, and I hope you get time for some happy stamping!

Love ya,
