Busy Beauties Go Burtonesque

Not only do we have some marvelously macabre new images to share with you today, but we also have some fun & funky friends joining us today:  The Burtonesque Dolls! Our new images are inspired by the Tim Burton classic, "THE CORPSE BRIDE", and BBB illustrator Thomas Goins has really outdone himself with these amazing images! We thought they would be right up the Dolls' alley, so we invited them along for the hop *and* are super excited to announce that Busy Beauties Boutique will be sponsoring their challenge next week!

My card for this spooktacular event was created with the Corpse Bride image, and was colored with my Copic markers.  You can't have a wedding without bling, so I added some black glitter to the brackets that were an element in the wonderful sketch Catherine provided for the Busy Beauties Creation Station challenge this week.  The paper all came from my scrap drawer, and the sentiment was cut with my Cricut Expression using the Sweethearts cartridge.  I added some black pearls down the left side of the sketch just to balance things out a bit, and voila!  Who exactly I'll send this card to, I'm not quite sure.  We'll see!  I usually go for the cutesy type images when choosing stamps, but I have to admit that this was a fun challenge, both with the image and the sketch.  That's what it's all about, right?  Thinking outside of the box, and working outside of your comfort zone, to learn and be challenged, and for me, this card fit that bill in every respect.

    WOW!!!! You colored her up perfectly! I would have made her look not dead, lol. I knew to leave these to the experts, but am having a blast seeing what everyone else created. This is awesome! Love the sent and your perfect coloring. Great layout and the added embellies are perfect!!!

    Oh stunning- like pick the jaw up off the floor stunning. Your coloring on this is so subtle and incredible and the layout - woohooo! I love the white streaks in her hair and the amazing splashes of red! Love It!

    WOW! This is you working OUTSIDE of your comfort zone? It's absolutely fabulous, I just love everything about it, and even the cute Sweethearts font has a wonderfully gothic feel to it when placed with the rest of your card.
