I'm Hosting Digi Day, So Come On Over...

Shameless, aren't I?  LOL!!  Oh well, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, and I gotta get some excitement and enthusiasm going in our Sweet -n Sassy Stamps Group over at Paper Craft Planet!!  Today, I'm hosting the challenge, and YOU can get free digis just for playing along.  Hop on over to PCP and check out all the details.  It's fun, it's easy, and you'll have some new digi stamps to add to your collection just for sharing your Mother's Day creations.

Here is my first card, which uses the Special Lady digi from Sweet -n Sassy Stamps.  This is the digi you get for free if you play along by Midnight (EST) tonight.  This card is frilly, fancy, and just shouts out what some mom's are all about.  Now, I do realize that not all moms are the same, so...
My second card pays homage to those moms who don't get so much in to all the fancy and frilly little things.  Me... I think I'm a little of both.  I love tea parties, and all the detailed Victorian pretties, but I also love primitave things too.  I guess my decorating sense could be considered a muddled mess, but oh well!  THAT'S me!!  LOL!!!!  Here's a card of the "defrilled" fashion, made with the Candle Cocoa digi.  You just never know where you'll find little Cocoa next!!  Cocoa is the free digi you get if you play along with the Digi Day Challenge #16 by  Midnight (EST) on Wednesday, May 5th.  Play along by Midnight (EST) tonight, and get both!  Woohoo!!  I guess I really can't say this one is completely "defrilled", because I've always gotta have some bling in there somewhere!!  The swirlies with rhinestones are rub ons.  Cool, huh?
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  My wish for you today is a glorious day filled with things you love, and especially happy stamping!

Happy Earth Day...

Good morning, and Happy Earth Day to you!  I have a quickie post today to remind you that it's Sweet -n Sassy   Digi Day over at   Paper Craft Planet and on   SNR Card Universe.   There's free digis in it for you if
you decide you can play along, plus, there's some wonderful and inspirational cards being shared by the Sweet -n Sassy Digi Divas and friends.  Head on over there and join in the fun.  You have till Monday to play along for a special prize, and if you play along by 10 p.m. eastern time tonight, you'll get the early bird free digi.

In celebration of Earth Day, I used one of Deedee's adorable teddies.   All of the DP is from K&Co., and those embossed clouds just had to be used for this card, don't ya think?  Both the Rainy Day Teddy and the Sunshine and Sentiments can be found at the Sweet -n Sassy Stamps Digi Store.  For the layout on this card, I decided to play along with the Cute Card Thursday Challenge, where I found this wonderful sketch.

Thanks so much for dropping by today.  Please check back later, because as I mentioned in an earlier post, I've been cleaning and organizing my stamp room, and I have LOTS of  unmounted Stampin' Up! stamp sets that I'm parting with, along with some other goodies that I'm putting together for blog candy.  I hope to have that post up for you later today.  Wishing you a blessed day filled with thanksgiving for the beautiful and wondrous planet that we call home!!

Back To Blogging With A Peachy Keen Challenge!!

Good morning!  It feels so good to be back, posting and blogging, after being MIA for  two weeks.   We received a call a couple of weeks ago that our house (which had been on the market for almost a year) had sold, and we have been busy, busy, busy packing, storing, and moving our things.  I had to take a little break from the blogging world to get everything accomplished, and thank Heaven, it's all finally finished.  I'm very ready to get back into my routine.  I've missed you all soooo much, and I've missed stopping in to check out what all my crafty friends have been up to!!!!!

So without any further delay, I bring you the challenge from Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog for this week.    For challenge #27,  we're doing a color/inspiration challenge, and the sky is the limit on this one.  I strayed from the color palette just a wee bit, because this adorable little bird from the new stamp set, Happy Bird and Phrases (PK-267) was adamant about being blue.  The rest of my card is inspired by the color palette Angelica provided for us, as is the little butterfly.  It felt so good to make a card, and I turned to the Mojo Monday Sketch for the layout for this one.  If you'd like to play along with the challenge, you have until Monday, May 2nd to link up your card or creation, and this time the entries will be juged by the DT, Angelica and Kathy.  Entries will be judged on Original Creativity, Quality of Work, and Interpretation of Challenge.  The prize is a $25.00 gift certificate to the Peachy Keen Stamps Store!  Woohoo... FREE STAMPS!!!  Be sure to check out all the amazing and wonderful creations that Emma, Nikki, Viv, Sonia, Janice, and Jacqui have put together for you.  You're gonna LOVE them!!!!!

The Mother's Day stamps are back in stock, so be sure to check out the Peachy Keen Stamps website for all the latest and greatest promotions.  Here's a look at what's being offered, and what a deal it is!!!!

Thank you so very much for stopping by today.  It's sooooo good to be back!!  As a little "thank you" to my friends and faithful followers, I'm putting together a bit of blog candy to give away.  Let's just say that I've found LOTS of little goodies during the move, and I've decided to share as a way to say thanks for hanging in there with me!  Wishing you many happy blessings today and always, and HAPPY STAMPING!

Peachy Keen Challenge #26

Good morning!  It's Tuesday, and time for another fun and fantastic Peachy Keen Challenge.  This week, our challenge is a recipe.  For our cards/projects we are to use the colors orange and white, have stitching somewhere on the card, use one upcycled item, and of course any Peachy Keen Stamp.   I chose to use this sweet, sweet Raggedy Angel stamp (PK-251).  Isn't she adorable?  This little angel was colored with Copic markers.  I cut the oval, leaving out a portion of one wing, her halo, and the teddy's ear.  I distressed the edges of both the image, and the layer, and added some sponging around both.  I used Sweet Always (retired)  designer paper from Stampin' Up! for the background paper.  The stitching for my card was done with gold cord around the wings and halo.  For my upcycled item, I used these fun little paper beads that I've been making.  They are made from scraps of paper, rolled tightly around a toothpick.  I use a drop of glue on to secure them and then seal them with a coat of matte sealer to help make them a bit more durable.  It's a wonderful way to use up little scraps of designer paper, and they really make some cool jewelery pieces, as well as being fun additions to cards.  Each upcycled paper bead is flanked by two pearl beads.  Speaking of "upcycled", or green items, did you know that  Peachy Keen Stamps are made with photopolymer, a substance that emits practically zero V.O.C.’s during production and since the excess polymer goes through a recycling process to make new Peachy Keen Stamps, it is much more environmentally friendly than traditional rubber? Cool, huh!?  I think that's VERY cool, so you can stamp happy, knowing that you are using an enviornmentally friendly product!  AWESOME!!!

Please be sure to check out the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to see all the fabulous creations that Jacqui, Janice, Nikki, Sonia, Emma, and Viv have for you.  Also, if you'll play along and upload your creation on the challenge blog, you'll be entered into a random drawing to win this newly released stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.

Oh my gosh!  When I saw this stamp set, I was pickin' my jaw up off the floor!  Isn't it the cutest?  What a sweet, and adorable face on this happy little blue bird!!  You just gotta get your name in the hat for this one, so bring it on, and lets see those challenge cards!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit today.  As always, it's a joy to have you, and I wish you a blessed day filled with happy stamping!

For my card today, I used the Peek-A-Boo Sophie image.  I colored her with Copcis, and popped her up on the background panel.  The sunny designer paper is from K&Co., and the swirlys you see along the side were drawn with a template that I have, then paper pierced and the dots connected with a marker.  I added a prima flower, rhinestones, and some ribbon for bling, and the sketch comes from the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge this week.

Happy Easter Kit Cat Challenge

Good morning, and HAPPY EASTER to you!  Yep... I'm making a post on Easter Sunday.  You see, the first Sunday of the month there is always a spot designated on my blog for our Kit Cat Group Challenge, and well, the first Sunday of this month just happens to fall on Easter.  This month, it was my turn to send out the card kits.  When  I realized that we would be posting on Easter Sunday, I knew I wanted to give each of the girls a little Easter gift, by providing them with this adorable Easter Basket Bunny stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps.  Also included in their kits was an assortment of patterned paper, green glittery card stock, ribbons, rhinestones, and buttons.  Try though I might, I just couldn't work a button in to this card, so it went with a bow.   The sentiment comes from the Peachy Keen stamp set Easter Egg Words and Bunnies, and the sketch  comes from the challenge at Our Creative Corner last week.

I'm going to keep my post short today, but I CAN'T leave without reminding you that you've gotta go check out CatherineKelly, Michelle, Jeanette, and Susan's blogs to see their amazing Easter creations.  I know that their projects are going to be spectacular, so after you've enjoyed a bountiful Easter dinner, sit down, relax, and prepare to be WOWED!

Wishing you a very Happy Easter, and some very happy stamping, too!

Sisterhood Of The Traveling Cards

Hello, and welcome to The ThINKin' Spot!  I'm so glad you could join me today, because I finally have one of my Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards cards to share with you.  I have one almost every month, but I'm always in such a hurry to get them mailed, that I often forget to take a picture.  Well, not this month!!  A couple of years ago, a group of ladies on Splitcoaststampers who were all members of the same swap, decided it would be fun to start a group that swapped cards monthly, with each month a different member serving as hostess and choosing a theme.  This has been such an amazing adventure, and the friendships that have culminated from this group, I know will last a lifetime!  This card is my submission for March.  Since March is a "green month" with the celebration of St. Patrick's Day, our hostess, Susan, asked us to think green with a twist.  She wanted us to get out our dragons, frogs, turtles, or ANY other green critter and use it on our card.  I had seen these adorable dragon images, illustrated by Tracy Wray in her Crafty Cat Shop, which I love to frequent, and I couldn't resist snagging this adorable digital stamp for my card.  She has some absolutely adorable images available, so please go check them out!!!  The sketch for this card comes from Tuesday Morning Sketches, and worked just fabulously for this image!!
Thank you for stopping by today!  I wish you and yours a very blessed Easter filled with joy, love, and laughter in abundance!!

It's SNSS Digi Day!!!

Good morning!  Well, today is Sweet -n Sassy Stamps Digi Day on both Papercraft Planet, and SNR Card Universe.  I made this card yesterday to go along with the theme for digi day, which is birthday.  This adorable flamingo is one of the new releases from SNSS and was illustrated by Deedee Anderson.  Can you tell that I'm just a little bit ready for some summer weather?  Pink flamingos and all!!!!  The weather has been beautiful here, windy, but beautiful, so it was easy to find inspiration for this colorful card.
This awesome DP is from Stampin' Up!'s Pink Flamingo collection.  How cool is that?!!  I knew I had this paper stashed away when I saw Deedee's image, AND I knew exactly where this paper was going.  I colored the image with my Copics, and followed the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #274 for the layout.  Be sure to hop over to Papercraft Planet, and/or SNR Card Universe, and join all the fun in the SNSS forum.   There's a free digi if you play along by Monday, and an additional free digi if you play along by 10 p.m. Eastern time tonight.  Hope to see you and your wonderful creations there!!  Have a glorious day filled with happy stamping!
