Peachy Keen Challenge 13:13 :: 3-D Objects :: Oh Baby!

Hello friends!  Happy Friday to ya as well!  I guess it IS Good Friday, isn't it?  WOW!  Where does the time go?  For what I would consider a long, cold and snowy winter for us, it sure seems like it has moved fast.  We are SO ready for Spring around here, and it looks like we might get a wee taste of it before the rain/snow mix comes along later this weekend.  I hope you and yours have plans for a fabulous Easter.  Ours will be an early morning of preparing for Sunrise Breakfast at church, followed by a yummy dinner, some Easter Egg Hunting (weather permitting).  Sounds like a pretty sweet time to me!

I've got a fun little project to share with you today.  I say "little", but actually it took me a bit to get this one together.  Nothing difficult at all.  Just a little labor intensive.  I made this for the new challenge for this week at the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog.  The challenge this week is to do a 3-D project pertaining to babies.  Heaven knows we've got plenty of diapers around here, so I thought a diaper cake might be just the ticket!

The gate fold card on top of the cake is a file that I purchased from Kadoodle Bug Designs.  PKS had a cross promotion with them a few weeks ago, and I really fell in love with so many of their adorable images.  If you haven't used SVG files, I have to say you SHOULD!  Yet another addiction in this crazy paper crafting business!  All of the stamped images come from the PKSC-15 March 2013 Stamp of the Month stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.  Everything was colored with Copic Markers, and I think everything else here is pretty self explanatory.  I punched the sweet little faces out using 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 inch  circle punches.  They were stamped on white card stock with memento ink, and colored with Copics before they were punched.  The paper was a part of some randomly discounted stacks that I purchased at my local Ben Franklin store, so I'm not exactly sure what the brand is.  I did add some rosy cheeks to the sweet baby faces using chalk and a stiff bristle paint brush.

Drop by The Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to find some wonderful inspiration from the rest of the designers.  If you've get the chance we'd all love it if you could play along with us!  We LOVE seeing your work!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day and a GLORIOUS Easter!

Peachy Keen Challenge 13-12 :: Sketch Challenge

Hello my stamping friends!

Thanks for dropping by today!  I've got a cute little card to share that I created for The Peachy Keen Challenge this week.  I'm still having fun with those PKS Teddy Bears, and this week's sketch challenge was perfect for this sweet little girl peeker.  This is from the PKSC-13 January 2013 Stamp of the Month stamp set.

Here's what the sketch looks like,  and you can see that I took this one pretty literally and chose to make very few changes to the plan.

I colored my image with Copic markers, and for embellishments, I included Washi Tape, pink twine, and paper flowers by Prima.

I pretty much love how this card turned out, and I hope you do too!  ;-)  Head on over to The Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the girls have created to share, and be sure to visit their blogs and leave them some love.  While you're out and about, check out our final day of presentations for our cross promotion with Really Reasonable Ribbon!  Leave some comment love, too for a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to Peachy Keen Stamps!

Have a great weekend and
HAPPY STAMPING!!

Color Me Creative :: Guest Designer

Good morning!  I hope your weekend treated you well and that you got to spend some time doing what makes YOU happy!  I got to do a little stamping, and that always makes me happy!  Today I have a card to share with you that I created for my Guest Designing stint for the Color Me Creative  Classroom Challenge.

A few weeks ago a friend added me to the Color Me Creative Classroom Facebook Group, and I was introduced to the CMC network from there.  They host a bi-monthly challenge over there, and I decided to use some of my Peachy Keen Stamps and play along with their challenge.  I was both surprised and thrilled when I found out that my entry had been selected by their design team as the winner for that challenge, and that prize was a chance to be Guest Designer for the next challenge!  WOOHOO!

So, here I am, and here's the card I created for this challenge, which is an Anything Goes Challenge, with the  optional twist to use bugs, butterflies, or reptiles in your projects.

This image was provided by the CMC Challenge sponsor, Digital Delights by Louby Lou, and it was colored with my favorite medium, Copic markers.  I added some large self adhesive clear dots to the eyes to really make them pop.  I love the look it gives them IRL.   The paper was all from my scrap box except for the Stampin' Up! card stock that I used for the base of the card.  I added some Stardust Stickles to the colored spots on the frog, and rhinestones to the orange circle for a little bit of sparkle and bling.

Drop by The Color Me Creative Classroom network to play along.  You WILL need to join the network as a member, and then join the Challenge Group, but that's no problem, because it's a great resource and place to find all kinds of inspiration.  ESPECIALLY if  you LOVE to color!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Peachy Keen March Release :: Sneak Peek :: Day 1

HELLO and WELCOME
to Day #1 of our Peachy Keen Sneak Peeks!

We're celebrating our March release, and we're so excited to be sharing these cute new stamps with you... FINALLY!

Once we saw all this peachy cuteness, it was nearly impossible to hold in the excitement and NOT share, but we were a good DT, and we kept it under out hats, or Easter bonnets... whatever!  We'll be bringing you peeks of our March Release right through Monday, so check back on The Peachy Keen Stamps Blog every evening at 6 p.m. (CST) to see what the girls have been up to!  We promise that it's ALL good, and you won't want to miss it!

Here's my first creation for this month's release...

As usual, I colored this cutie with my Copic markers.  I used a variety of cool grays for this little fella, but he'd sure be cute in brown, or white, or just about ANY color.  When you're that cute, it just doesn't matter! Some of my DT sisters have absolutely adorable creations using this release too, so hop over to The Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and check 'em out.  Just follow the links to their blogs for all the details about how they created their masterpieces, and be sure to leave them some love, too!

Just a reminder about our Peachy Keen Stamps March Release Party, which we'll be hosting on The Peachy Keen Connection on Tuesday, March 5th at 6 p.m. (CST).  Our DT will be chatting it up with our peachy friends, and there will be games, prizes and some fabby challenges to play along with!  Bring a friend and join us for all the fun!!

Thanks for stopping by and...
HAPPY STAMPIN'!!
