PKS December Release :: Day #3

Good evening and WELCOME!!

The sneak peeks for the December Release at Peachy Keen Stamps is going in full force, and I've got this adorable card to share with you for Day #3!

Isn't this little kitten all wrapped up for winter just adorable?

This sweet little kitty, along with that candy striped background stamp will be released  at Peachy Keen Stamps this Thursday!  YAY!!

Join us throughout the day on Thursday for our Release and Reveal Event on Facebook!
We'll introduce you to the new sets, and share the full reveal with you right before they go live on our website and are available for purchase.  DON'T MISS ALL THE FUN!!!
You can find our event festivities HERE...

Here's my card!

I colored this sweetie with Copic markers.  The candy striped background was stamped in Versamark, and I applied Heat and Stick Powder from Stampin' Up to the Versamark.  After shaking off all the excess powder, I heated it with my embossing tool, and it proceeds to get VERY sticky.  Once the entire panel was good and sticky, I applied that pretty blue glitter, and then heat set it again.  You'd be surprised at how durable it is, because the glitter just won't come off!  I LOVE heat and stick powder!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful evening, and for even more adorable samples of this month's release, head over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog!  My DT sisters have rocked this one!!

Happy Stamping!!!

Good morning and WELCOME!!!  If you're hopping along with the Celebrate Christmas Blog Hop then you should have arrived here from Amanda Bodine's Blog, and if you just happened along, then today is your LUCKY DAY, because you've stumbled on to a hop filled with epic inspiration and it's all about Christmas!  This is actually the next to last stop on this hop, and you are SO gonna want to go back to the beginning and check out ALL the amazing creations that the design team has shared for today!  It all began on Kristi Bennett's Little Paper Sprinkles Blog, so head over there now so you don't miss ANYTHING!!

I've got a SWEET card to share with you today that I created with the PKSC-19 July 2013 Stamp of the Month stamp set.  Are you a member of the Stamp of the Month Club?  Members enjoy super savings on the monthly kit, and you can find out all about how to become a member by following THIS LINK.  I had a lot of fun coloring this one up with my Copic markers.

ALL ABOARD, because we're headed full steam ahead into the Christmas season as of TODAY!!!
The North Pole Express leads the way!!

I worked in both some marker work, and paper piecing with this card.  The patterned paper was from my scrap bin stash.

Here's a closer look at the coloring, and that wonderful, Diamond Dust that I picked up at our local Ben Franklin store a while back.  I love the thick, sugary look and texture, and it's hard to tell from the photo, but the sparkle is divine!!

I hope you've enjoyed the hop so far.  As I mentioned above, this is the next to last stop.  Your next stop will be at The Peachy Keen Stamps Blog, and I sure hope you've left comments for our talented team as you've went along, because with each comment, you'll have a chance to win a BIG PRIZE!  Yep!  Peachy Keen Stamps is putting together a Christmas stamp bundle valued at $150!!  WOOHOOO!!!  We'll announce the winner on Monday, and be sure to join us tomorrow for another fun filled day of hopping!!

Thankful Blog Hop

Good morning!!
I'm so happy you could join me this morning, and WELCOME!!   I've got this adorable little K-Cup holder that I created for this fabulous blog hop featuring SVG files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and Peachy Keen Stamps!   Our talented teams have come together to show you just what you can do with PPPR SVG files and Peachy Keen Stamps.  If you've been hopping along from the beginning, then you've seen some amazing creations, but if you're just getting started, then you'll want to go back to the beginning at The Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Blog and start from there, so you don't miss out on any of the Thankful Themed projects.

You should have arrived here from the very talented Brianna's Happer Scrapper Blog.  Didn't you LOVE her sweet Thanksgiving card?  WOW!

Here's what I created using the Pumpkin Spice Patterned Paper Pack #1 (digital download), K-Cup, and  Nuts About You cutting files from PPPR and the PKSC-22 Stamp of the Month stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.

From this side view you can see the beautiful chevron patterned paper that I used for the inside.  That digital paper is wonderful!!  I printed two sides of one sheet of card stock so that I had reversible paper!  How cool is that??

I love the thought of giving K-Cups as a nice hostess gift for Thanksgiving.  My Keurig brewing system is getting LOTS of use with this cold weather, and these cute little gift boxes are PERFECT for gift giving!!

I've got to tell you that cutting all these pieces with colored card stock seemed like a daunting task to me, so I did what I do with many of my die cuts.  I cut the branch, leaves and acorns using white card stock and I colored them with my Copic markers.  Voila!  much easier as far as I'm concerned and I love that I can personalize the look of the finished piece with my markers.  I added a lot of texture to the leaves using a stippling method of coloring.  FUN!!

Before you move along on this hop, please be sure to comment and hopefully if you been hopping, you've commented along the way, because both PPPR and PKS are giving away a $15 Gift Certificate to one lucky hopper!  Will it be you?  We don't know yet who will be drawing the winning name, so comment on each blog for the best chance to win.  Please be sure to leave your contact information so that we can get in touch with you to let you know you won. :-)  NOW, ON WITH THE HOP!!

Your next stop on this hop is at super talented Jeanne Siegel's Paper Crafts Blog.   Have fun and enjoy!!

Below is the complete blog hop order just in case you get lost along the way.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Fun With Flip Its!!

Hello Friends!

Long time... No blogging!  Sorry about that, but as is the case sometimes, life happens, and it seems to have been happening at warp speed around here.  We're down to the final days before our youngest son makes his way to the altar with his lovely bride, and we couldn't be happier!  Still LOTS to do, though, but I wanted to share a couple of "non wedding" projects that I've had a chance to squeeze in.  There's a whole lot of crafting, baking, and creative stuff happening, but not much card making.  ;-)

Anyway, one reason I wanted to hop on here today is that today is the day that these amazing new dies are being released at The Stamps of Life!  Have you heard about these Flip Its Dies?  Like I told a friend the other day, I don't exactly live under a rock when it comes to paper crafting goodies, BUT I somehow missed this Flip Its boat!  These things are amazing!!  You can read all about them HERE.

Here are the cards I made with these new dies.  SO easy, and fun, and I LOVE the WOW factor then lend to my cards!  I've SO got to have more of these dies!!

This first card was created with the newly released stamps at Peachy Keen Stamps.  LOVE that jar, and PKS has a beautiful new website, BTW, so if you haven't checked that out, RUN and do it now, because it's all up and running like a top now!!  20% off of all new releases, too!  SUH-WEET!!  For this card I used PK-1339 Clear Canning Pint Jar, and PK-1341 Clearly Autumn Pint Jar Accessories.

Here's a look at the opposite side.  These Flip Its fold to an A2 card size in case you were wondering.

And, here's a close up.  You can't really tell in the photo, but there's acetate over the jar, which looks really shiny and realistic in real life.

The next grouping of photos I have to share are of the same Flip Its die set, and stamps from The Stamps of Life.  Just in case you can't tell, I sure love creating Autumn themed cards!

For this card I used the Raccoons2love Stamp Set from The Stamps of Life.

Gotta LOVE that sentiment!!

Another angle.

And finally, a close up.

I hope you've enjoyed my creations today.  I did have a lot of fun making these, and was truly surprised at how easy they were to make using those "new to me" dies!  As mentioned above, they are now available at The Stamps of Life, and head over there and check 'em out!!

So now, it's back to cleaning, sewing, laundry, and getting ready for the wedding festivities to begin!

Have a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPIN'!!!

Ready, Set, Glow!

Good morning!
Well, I've been sharing posts from our talented designers at Peachy Keen Stamps for almost two weeks and it's FINALLY my turn to share a project with you!  I hope you've enjoyed all of the amazing things that have been shared here, and I also hope that you've been visiting The Timeless Twine Blog each day as well to see the  wonderful works of art that their team has to share.

For my card, I decided to use a stamp set that's a favorite of mine.  It's actually one that I drew?  Ha!  Can you believe that?  I can't!  This is one from the Country Bumpkin line.  Jack-O-Light is a lot of fun to color.  Now in the case of the card today, you might notice there's a lack of color, where Mr. Jack is concerned  I have to admit that I'm kinda a little more than obsessed with these pretty white pumpkins that I see this time of year, and I find myself looking for them nearly everywhere I go.  I love the pale almost ghostly skin on them, but when you actually carve one, the flesh is just as orange and pumpkin colored as can be.  Put a light in them, and the orange glow is SO PRETTY!

I colored this image with Copic markers, and added some Flower Soft Ultra Fine Sprinkles in Earth and Toffee colors to ground Mr. Jack.  To make great use of the beautiful Kraft and Black Timeless Twine, I decided to crochet around the edges of the card stock.  I love the way it turned out.  It made the perfect little frame for Mr. Jack.  After all the crocheting was finished, I wrapped some more twine around the top of the card and finished it off with a handmade bow of twine.

I'm so glad you could stop by today and I hope you'll be joining us here again through Sunday when we'll have more stampy and twiney goodness to share with you!  Have a wonderful day, and HAPPY STAMPIN!!

Katie Sue Designs/Peachy Keen Stamps Blog Hop

Hello and WELCOME, my stamping friends!
Well, you've almost made it to the end of this blog hop!  What did you think?  Aren't my design team sisters AMAZING??  We hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have enjoyed creating and sharing!   I created a sweet card for this special event.  I hope you like it and that it inspires you to give the Flower Soft products a try with your Peachy Keen Stamps.  Pairing these two products up is a win/win situation in my book!  Here's my card:

I stamped this cute little puppy with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic markers.  You can find this sweet little fella as a part of the PK-1334 Howling Puppy stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I used up some more of my scrap paper for the background and all of the card stock is from Stampin' Up!.

Here's a closer shot that beautifully demonstrates the texture and color variation of the  Tree Textures Clam shell from Katie Sue Designs.   I also used the Flower Soft Glue, to adhere the sprinkles.  It works SO well with the sprinkles!!

I hope when you were hopping along that you had the chance to leave comments for everyone, because each comment will earn you the chance to win one of two $25 Gift Certificates that will be given away.  We don't know which designers will be choosing the winners, so leave a comment on each blog for the best chance to win!!  Winners will be announced on Friday on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog!!  Please DO be sure to leave me some contact info, with your comment so that we can let you know if you're one of our winners!  Here's the complete hop order in case you get lost or hit a snag along the way.  :-)

Some Flower Soft Projects and What we've been up to!

Well, I guess it's about time I made a blog post this week!
Geez!  Does time ever get away from me anymore.  It seems life is just busier than normal lately, and trying to cram in everything we can before Summer is over sure hasn't helped.  We had a great time at the Missouri State Fair, but after 5 days of camping, LOTS of walking, and then the aftermath of all the unpacking and putting away, I'm EXHAUSTED!!   We'll add to that all of the work we've done around the house, like new flooring throughout, and we're "Do It Yourself-ers" around here.  We spent most of this week without a working kitchen as DH has been putting new tile down in the kitchen.  Just got the stove back in this morning, and we'll have some photos of the new floor soon.  Still got a few more scrubbings before it's up to par.  Oh,  and I CAN'T let this post get away from me without sharing with our our discovery on Saturday night!  Some of you may have seen it on my Facebook page, but I'll share it here, too.  It's almost too bizarre to believe, but photos don't lie!

Allen got all showered and was getting ready to go to bed on Saturday night, and when he went to turn back the bedspread, he was in for a surprise!!  He noticed pieces of splintered wood on the bedspread, and he couldn't quite wrap his head around what he was seeing.   It just takes a while for the shock of finding something like this to sink in!

We remembered hearing someone doing some shooting around 8 p.m., but we didn't think too much about it, because living in the country as we do, people often shoot trap, or at targets on neighboring farms.  It did sound a little louder than usual, and a little closer, but we had all of the bedroom doors shut to keep kiddos and our pet critters out, SO that's why we didn't discover this until bed time.

Apparently the neighbors directly east of us were doing some target shooting at the bank in front of their house, which would put them pointing their guns directly at our house, minus the bank.  From all indications, someone isn't a very good shot, because they missed the bank, and the bullet traveled about a half mile through the corner of our bedroom window, through the solid oak headboard, and ended up somewhere in our room.  We've looked, searched the closet and everything, but so far we haven't found the bullet.   The young man responsible did come by Sunday morning to see what had happened and he did let us know that he would pay for the damage, so that was a good thing, and  I did ask him to please find a different place to target shoot from now on.   We're very, VERY thankful that no one was in the room at the time, because the whole bizarre event could have been so much worse!!

SO, even with all this CRAZY stuff going on, I have found some time to craft.  Here are a couple of my recent Flower Soft projects.  I hope you like 'em!!

This card was created with the new Window Stamp set from the Timeless Collection of stamps from Katy Sue Designs.   The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I colored it with Copic Markers.  I used some Flower Soft Sprinkles in the areas surrounding the candles.  I chose the Flower Soft Vintage Christmas mixed colors for this project and it looks SO pretty in real life.  The photo just can't do it justice!

My second card was created using one of the stamp sets that has been released this week at Katie Sue Designs.  This sweet mouse comes from the new Tall Tales line of stamps.  You can find this cutie along with a sweet robin in the Robin and Mouse stamp set.  I used the snowflake flourish that was a part of that set as well, and I heat embossed it with white.  I love the way it turned out!!

I think that about does it for this post!
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!!!

The Stamps Of Life/Clearsnap Blog Hop

Good morning!

How about a little bit of fun on this beautiful Sunday?
The good folks at The Stamps of Life and Clearsnap have come together for a blog hop today to bring you some SUPER sweet creations using Clearsnap Ink and The Stamps of Life.  We know that you're excited to see what is being shared, so wait no longer!  Let's get HOPPING!!!

With my favorite time of year getting so close, and with this drastic change in temperatures we've had, I find myself ready to begin creating my Fall and Halloween cards.  I thought this would be the perfect time to show off one of the newly release stamp sets from The Stamps of Life called  Pumpkins2Cut.

I paired it with some beautiful Clearsnap orange ink, which made the patterns in the pumpkin come to vibrant life.  Using a variety of color, pattern and texture, allowed me to really have fun with the stamps and ink.
I hope you like it!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Your next stop on this hop will be at Suzanne Austin's Blog, and I know she'll have something wonderful to share with you.
