Royal Wedding Blog Hop

Good morning!  Welcome to The Royal Wedding Blog Hop!!!!  Today is the special day for Prince William and his Princess, Kate, and we're celebrating right along with them with this wonderful blog hop.  Our theme, of course is weddings, fairy tales, and love.  Sounds good, right?  Well, I assure you that you haven't seen anything yet!  There are some truly amazing artists on this hop, and you're going to be thrilled with their creations.  So, let's get started, shall we?  If you arrived here from my sweet and talented friend Viv's blog, then you are hopping along in perfect order, but if you just happened along, you're going to really want to go back to the beginning, where Heidi kicks off this fabulous event on her Got Scraps Blog.  A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Heidi for organizing this hop!!!!!!!  There will be LOTS of inspiration, and maybe even some prizes along the way, so hurry and get your hop on!!!!  ;-)

Okay, so I have to admit that it took me a while to find any card making mojo at all.  I've been MIA for a few days, because my grandma is sick and in the hospital, and I haven't made a single card in over a week!!!   That hasn't happened in a long time, let me tell ya!  It feels great to be doing some crafty work.  For this card, I used one of The Scrapping Cottage's Cottage Cutz Frame 1 Die, cutting two.  One in black and one in white.   Since this is a royal event,I chose to use up some of this amazing bling from Peachy Keen Stamps to make a jeweled background.  A crown jewel background, if you will.   The sentiment comes from the Cottage Impressions Valentine's release.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark, and heat embossed it with some black embossing powder.  Some strategically placed rhinestones, a couple of  stick pins, (These remind me of a scepter) and big organza bow, finish off this royal card.   Your next stop will be at the amazing , sweet and talented Janice's blog.  Below is a complete list of stops for this blog hop, should you happen to get lost along the way.

I do have a bit of blog candy to offer up for this special day.  One commenter from this post will receive the following:
Sizzix In Bloom stamp set set of (12)
1 pkg. (4) Heart Ribbon Slides
1 pkg. (3) 1 Yd. Spools Marcella Ribbon
1 pkg. (8) Black & White Pebble Clips by Making Memories
1 K&Co. Tiara/Love Light Up Sticker set (This is so cool!)
1 K&Co. Frippery Pendant Necklace kit to personalize your own jewelery to commemorate
this special day.  This kit is very appropriately called "Katie".

Just leave a comment on this post, and I'll draw a winning number on Sunday morning.  Be sure to leave me your contact information, so that I can get in touch with you when you win!!!

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today.  May God bless and keep you today and always, AND  bless you with lots of happy stamping!!!

Midnight Madness Challenge #100

Good morning!!!  Woohoo!  We're celebrating the 1ooth sketch at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge blog.  WOW!  That's a whole lotta sketches!!  For my project today, I used this adorable dragon from Studio 313 Creations to make a layout.
I colored this digital stamp with my Copics to match this amazing digital paper that can also be found at Studio 313 Creations.  I've only used digital paper once before, which was a couple of weeks ago, and it was also from Studio 313.  I really like the idea of having digital papers right at your fingertips.  Especially if it's one that will be a favorite, as both of the designs I've used this month are.  Thank you so very much, Shawne for opening this door for me.  I'm now a BIG fan of digital paper!!!  :)  Sure hope you can play along with us this week!!

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #63

Good morning!  Monday has arrived, and Holy Week Monday, at that.  Goodness, where has this year gone?!!  With each new Monday, brings a new challenge at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog, and this week, very timely, we're celebrating Easter creations.  Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Some Odd Girl.  I took this cute little flower flanked lady and with the addition of some glittery Easter eggs in the grass, an Easter creation was born.
I  layered three strips of grass, punched with my Martha Stewart punch, and popped the layers up with foam dots.  That allowed me enough room to place the eggs within the layers of the grass to give them a more three dimensional look.  The patterned paper is from Imaginisce, and the adorable digital image from Some Odd Girl was colored with Copic markers.

I hope you can join us for the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge this week!  It's always so much fun to see all your wonderful creations!!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a blessed day and happy stamping!!!!

Baby Max's Baptism Card

Hello and welcome to The ThINKin' Spot!!  If  you're hopping along with Heather's Surprise Birthday Blog Hop, please scroll down to the next post.

Good morning!! Happy Friday to you!! It's a very cool and rainy Friday here, but April showers bring May flowers, right? I sure hope so!! I have a very special card to share with you today. I made this card using the new Ornate Cross from the Easter release at The Scrapping Cottage.

Even though this card is very ornate, it's on the clean and simple side, too. I made this for my sweet baby grandson, Max, who is being baptized this Sunday. Just a little splash of blue for my baby boy to celebrate the special day. I cut two of the crosses and layered them by popping the top cross up with foam dots. In the center, between the layers, I used the two small crosses included on the die, with one of them done in blue. This gave it a little pop of blue in the center, which I thought was a nice effect. The background is embossed with a flourish embossing folder, and a little satin ribbon finished this card off.

Have a glorious weekend!!

Surprise!!!!!!

Welcome to Heather's *Sweet* Birthday Blog Hop!

We are so excited to celebrate Heather's birthday today,

owner and designer for Fresh Brewed Designs!

And we are even more excited to share this special day with you all, too!

It's Heather's birthday and that means YOU are in for a treat

with the cards and creations on this hop!

AND a little "Goodie Bag" treat for one lucky random.org winner!

Linda started us off on our hopping adventure today, and I know you won't want to miss her amazing creation, so if you just happened along and didn't start with Linda, the please go back to her blog and begin from there.

For my card to celebrate sweet Heather's birthday, I used one of the digis from her store.  This one is called Coffee Cake, and knowing that Heather is a big fan of the java, I thought this would be the perfect birthday cake for her.  I hope she finds it as yummy looking at it, as I did coloring it!!  ;)  The designer paper comes from Paper Trey Ink.  The pom-pom trim is some I found at the local Wal-Mart store, and the sentiment is from Stampin Up!
The second photo show the Frosted Lace Stickles that I added to the frosting, as well as the shiny dots, stripes and cup, which is just Glossy Accents painted over the surface of the colored image.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have fun on the hop, and just in case you get lost along the way, here is the full list of birthday hoppers:

Precious Piglet MMSC #99

Good morning!  It's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge day, and we've got another fabulous sketch to share with you today.  My card was made with this adorable Precious Piglet image brought to you by our wonderful sponsor this week, The Doodle Pantry.  Here's my colorful card.
There's just nothing cuter than a pink little baby piglet, and when they come surrounded by flowers, well, that just makes them all the cuter!!  I colored this image with Copics, and found some paper that I had stashed away from The Angel Company that I thought worked beautifully.  I actually found the paper and decided to use it before I colored the image, because I wanted to use that beautiful turquoise color in the background for an accent color with the flowers.  NOT the way I usually roll, but you know how that goes!  Sometimes ya just gotta change it up a little bit.  ;-)  Paper flowers, half back pearls and the pearl flourishes finished off this card.  I hope you like it, because I had a lot of fun creating it!!  Below please find all the information about our challenge this week.  I sure hope you can join us for the fun AND get a chance for one of the amazing prizes our sponsors are offering.

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #62

Good morning!  Monday has rolled around once again, and with it brings a new Kaboodle Doodles Challenge.  This week, we're challenged to use cute and cuddly animals in our creations.  Our gracious sponsor, Digital Delights provided us with some adorable images to work with.

I used this adorable giraffe image and colored it with my Copics.  I had some fabulous flocked giraffe print paper from The Paper Studio, which I used as a background for my card.  A little soft suede polka dotted ribbon and some buttons covered the embellishments for this cute card.  The sentiment comes from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-225  Happy Flowers and Cheerful Phrases stamp set.

I sure hope you have a cute and cuddle creation to share, because if you enter the challenge at Kaboodle Doodles, you could win a great prize, offered by Digital Delights.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a blessed and beautiful day and happy stamping!

Kit Kats Go Beachy!

Good morning!  It's a beautiful Sunday morning, and time for the Kit Cat Club to share yet another challenge with you.  Today, the kits that we share with you come from our purrrrfectly sweet kitten, Jeanette.  Jeanette, like many of us was ready for some fun in the sun when she put her kits together, and I have to tell ya, that this was a VERY welcome theme for me!  Oh, how I WISH I could tag along with Kelly for a trip to the beach!!  Since it isn't physically possible,  just for today with these fabulous kits from Jeanette, we're trippin' to the beach with Kelly via cyberspace.  Here's what I did with my kit...
I decided that this time I'd do a 6x6 layout.  Jeanette provided us with Cheeky Beach images from The greeting Farm, and I colored mine with my Copic markers.  The patterned paper is called Airbrushed Wave from Paper Studio, and for embellishments, I used as many of the wonderful things that Jeanette included that I could possibly work in.  For instance, you'll see in this layout, Creative Impressions Blue Rick-Rack, Creative Impressions Web Ribbon (Brown, which I LOVE), Seashell brads from The Eyelet Outlet, and Paper Studio clear and light blue gemstones.  There's plenty more goodies and papers left for me to create a few other great projects, too!  Thank you sooooo much for a fun and inspiring kit, Jeanette!!!!!
Now be sure to hop over to the rest of the Kit Cat blogs to see what they've created with their wonderful goodies!!!  Jeanette, Michelle, Kelly and Susan are all hitting the beach with me today, and it's summer fun all the way!!!!  Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope the weekend is treatin' ya well, and that you're enjoying some time doing all the things that you love!  Have a blessed day and happy stamping!!

Oh and before I forget, the winner of the set of three handmade (by me) stick pins from The Reason For The Season Blog Hop is...  get this... the last commenter!  Commenter #32...

Sugar Egg Viewmaster Card

Good morning!  Welcome to The Thinkin'  Spot!  If you dropped by for The Reason For The Season Blog Hop, please click HERE.  I hope this fine Friday is treatin' ya well, and that you're looking forward to a wonderful weekend.  I have a fun and interactive card to share with you today that I made using the newly released Cottage Cutz Sugar Egg Die from The Scrapping Cottage, which includes three stamps.  Do any of you remember getting these sugar eggs in your Easter basket when you were a child?  I sure do, and I wasn't even sure if they made them anymore, but I Googled it, and, YES!!  They do still make sugar eggs.  Now you can make your own (the easy way) for all your Easter cards and scrapbook pages.  I thought that since there were three images to choose from to go inside the egg, it would be a good idea to make this into a Viewmaster card, and here's the result.  Just by spinning the exposed wheel on the right side of the card, you can change the scene inside the egg.  Pretty cute, huh?  All images were colored with Copics.
 Here's the sheep scene.
 The adorable bunny.
And the sweet as can be chick.

I hope you like and are inspired by my creation.  There are so many fun things you could do with this die and stamp set to create very special works of art.  As always, I wish you blessed and beautiful day, and of course some happy stamping!!!

Celebrating The Reason For The Season

Good morning!!  Just as we did at Christmas time, we have gathered once again to celebrate the Reason For The Season!! Welcome to our blog hop!  I'm so happy you could stop by, and hope you'll be uplifted and inspired along the way.  If you arrived here from Sammi's wonderful blog, then you're moving along in perfect order.  If you just happened along, you'll want to go back to the sweet and talented Heather's blog, where this celebration begins.  The card I'm sharing with you today, was made using the He Loves Me digital stamp illustrated by Heather.  This image along with a host of other fabulous images celebrating God's love for us can be found in her Fresh Brewed Designs Store.

This is indeed a blessed time of year, as we remember Christ sacrifice on the cross at Calvary, and celebrate his triumphant victory over death!  We're so glad you've stopped by!  Our purpose these 3 days is to draw the attention back to Jesus Christ, just as we did with our Christmas version of "Jesus Is The Reason" hop.  In the United States especially, Easter has become about mythical bunnies, candy and hunting for colored eggs. While they amuse us, these things distract us from the real cause for celebration:  the most amazing event in history - the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
When Christ was scourged, beaten, tormented, spit upon, ridiculed, mocked, nailed to the cross and forced to bear a crown of thorns (Mark 10:34; Luke 23), it was the greatest act of love (John 3:16) the world has ever known. He didn't deserve any of it - He came into this world without sin. But for our sake, because He loves us, He took on our sins and became sin  (2Corinthians 5:21; 1Peter 2:22, 24).  He gave Himself as the final, substitutive sacrifice, thereby paying our sin debt in full and proclaiming, "It is finished." (John 19:30)  Three days later, after being buried in a tomb, He rose from the dead and walked this earth again (Luke 24; Acts 10:40) before ascending to Heaven (1Thessalonians 1:10)to sit at the Father's right hand (Hebrews 12:2).  If you can just begin to picture all of this in your mind, how can you refuse the gift of salvation?  I pray you will accept it, if you haven't already!
In light of the true meaning of Easter, we friends of faith have gathered together to celebrate and share the Good News.  We invite you to join us:

We also invite you to celebrate the real "Reason for the Season" by posting your own creation celebrating Christ's Resurrection.  There is a place to link on Catherine's blog, and a prize is up for grabs for one randomly selected card/project.
Enjoy the hop and God bless!  Your next stop will be at Stacy's wonderful blog.

In celebration of our blog hop, I'd like to offer a little bit of candy to one random commenter.  I'll be giving away a set of three of the handmade pins you see pictured on my card.  All you need to do is leave a comment on this post.  That's it!!!!  I'll draw 1 name to win the set of pins on Sunday morning and announce the winner then.  Thanks you once again for hopping along with us today.  May God bless and keep you today and always!

Peachy Keen Challenge #49

Hello and good morning to you once again! The challenges are flying today, and I'm here with my second post of the day to share Peachy Keen Challenge #49 with you. We have a wonderful sketch to follow, created by Angelica, and I know you're going to have sooooo much fun playing along with it. I sure hope you can, because not only do we love to see what you're doing with your Peachy Keen Stamps, there's a Happy Mother's Day stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps that will go to one very lucky player!
For my card, I used the newly released PK-278 Easter Basket Paint Fight stamp set. This set is so darned cute, and includes the Happy Easter sentiment, and paint splotches, which I stamped on the chick, paintbrush bunny's foot, and on one square, making my own background paper to match the colors of the card. Have you checked out the bling that's available in the Peachy Keen Stamps Store? That's where these pretty sparkles of flourish came from, and I just LOVE them! You can find them in clear and black, as well as white and black pearl. One thing I love about the clear and white flourishes in particular, is that you can color them with your Copics to match whatever project you're working on. I did a little faux stitching around each square, and added some Flora Doodles to the polka dotted squares. The paper for this card all came from my scrap box. You'd think as much as I try to use those scraps up that my stack would get smaller, but I'm just not seeing that yet! LOL!!!

Be sure to hop over to the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to check out all the SUH-WEET and inspirational cards that my DT sisters have created! We have a very talented guest designer working with us this week, too. Liz Munoz of Liz's Paper Loft has an adorable card prepared, and she'll be bringing you peachy inspiration all week on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. Please stop by and visit her and leave her some love. I promise you'll be glad you did when you see what she's been up to!!

Thanks once again for stopping by today! As always, I wish you many happy blessings and lots of happy stamping!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #98

Good morning! It's time for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. We've got a great sketch to share with you today, and here's my card using the sketch provided. Both the image and the patterned digital paper come from Studio 313 Creations. The image was colored with Copic markers, and the corner pieces were punched using a Stampin' Up! photo corner punch. For embellishments, I used these pretty paper roses in colors to match the digital paper, and the square rhinestone brads were added for the finishing touch. The cloud was cut by hand to be the backdrop for this sweet sentiment.

This weeks sketch...it's "YOUR PICK" Make it fancy, clean and simple, or somewhere in-between. Remember to click on the sneak peek button on the side bar at www.priscillastyles.blogspot.com for the following weeks sketch each Friday.

Peachy Keen Stamps April Release Blog Hop

The time has finally arrived!  Yep!  It's time for the newest released stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps to be revealed!  Welcome to our blog hop!!   You should have arrived here from  the wonderfully creative Kim Score's Paper Punch Addiction Blog, but if you just happened along, you're definitely going to want to go back to the beginning and start at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog so that you don't miss one amazing creation!

I am so excited for you to see ALL of the new stamps, and especially the set I'm showcasing.   This is the first in the series of Hillbilly Holler Stamps. These stamps were illustrated by Steve Yarbrough, a local Missouri artist and  relative.  These images are fun, funny, and oh, my!  Don't get me started on how much fun they are to color!!  For my first project, I took the Hillbilly Get Well image and made a cover for a Kleenex box.
As good as a card is when you're sick, I couldn't help but think why not go one better and make the get well wish something that can actually be used and enjoyed.  So, I found the pattern for this Kleenex box cover on Splitcoaststampers.  This sleeve fits right over a Kleenex box, and can be reused.  What a way to bring a smile to someone's face, who might not be feeling well.

I ran the individual panels through the Big Shot using the Tim Holtz weathered wood embossing folder.  I used the direct to paper technique and inked the raised embossing to give the panels depth and dimension.  Is this image hilarious, or what?  No self respecting hillbilly would be seen in the hospital without his pink bunny slippers, and an infusion from that little brown jug sure ought to cure whatever ails ya!!  ;-)
My second project is a little sign for the bathroom door.  This little outhouse image is so darned cute!!  If you're familiar with hillbilly lingo, you know that the outhouse is often referred to as "The Privy", so that's what I decided to put on my sign.
Here's a closer picture so that you can see the hardware a little better.  The keyhole comes from Tim Holtz, and the rest of the hardware is from Stampin' Up!
And now on to my third project.  When I saw this cute little guy in his nightshirt with candle in hand, I immediately thought it would be cute to make a tag using this image and secure it around a candle.  No worries, though, because this candle is battery operated.  You Light Up My Life is the perfect sentiment for this image.  There's more weathered wood embossing on this tag, and more of that Stampin' Up! hardware, as well as the ribbon.
Here's what I actually did with my candle.  It sits in the kitchen on the butcher block, and looks so sweet at night when it's all lit up.  I put it in a wooden box, and added a spray of berries and stars for filler.  It's so stinkin' cute!!!
And finally, I have a card to share with you that I made with this cute bass playing hillbilly.  This guy actually reminds me of Hank Williams Jr.  Ole Bocephus himself dropping by to wish you a Happy Birfday!   I've even seen a wash tub bass being played at one of the shows in Branson years ago.  Now THAT'S some hillbilly country fun!!!!
All images were colored with Copic markers, and I've hit the Tim Holtz distress inks pretty hard for all of these projects.  My two favorite colors for these creations were tea dye and walnut stain.   I hope you like what you've seen, and have been inspired to create something wonderful with these new stamps.  Cards are just the beginning of what you can do with these wonderful stamps and images!!

Now for the important info about the winner from my sneak peek post yesterday and how and what you can win by hopping along with us.  The winner from my sneak peek post is:
Rufus!!!!!
