If you're looking for the Peachy Keen Stamps Halloween Blog Hop, click HERE.

Good morning, and welcome to the Sweet -n Sassy Stamps September Release Blog Hop.  If you arrived here from the wonderfully talented Lisa's Blog, then you're on the right track for the hop, but if you just happened by, then you're going to want to go back to the beginning and start at the SNSS Blog, and hop along from there, so you don't miss one wonderful creation.  The exciting news is that there are 10 new stamp sets being released today at Sweet -n Sassy Stamps, and  each Sweet -n Sassy Design Diva on this hop will be sharing beautiful things they've created with different stamp sets from this release.  So without further delay, let's get on with the cards!!

For my first card, I used the Christmas Wonder stamp set.    This beautiful set features the sweet shepherd boy experiencing the wonder of that beautiful Christmas Star.  This 4 piece stamp set is full of possibilities for beautiful scenic Christmas cards.  I stamped this image with Memento ink, and colored with Copic markers.  I added some heavy sponging to the edges of the image, and embellished with some rhinestone sparkles and ribbon.  The designer paper is from Daisy D's, and the card stock all comes from Stampin' Up!.

The sketch I used for this card comes from Jeanette Olen, and as you've seen from her blog, she's offered up a challenge for you to win a prize by playing along with her sketch challenge.  Chris Dickinson, and Tricia Traxler are also offering challenges for you to play along with, and of course there'll be a chance for more prizes with each challenge.  You'll find out what they've got up their crafty sleeves once you hop along to their blogs.

Your next stop on this happy hop will be the talented Nancy Brown.  Nancy makes some of the most incredible cards and her hand stitching is something that I am in constant awe of.  I know you're going to love her beautiful work as much as I do.  Below, you'll find a complete list of stops on this blog hop in correct order, in case you happen to get lost along the way.

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today.  I hope you enjoy it, and find yourself inspired to create something beautiful!  Wishing you many happy blessings, and of course lots of happy stamping!

Peachy Keen Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to the Peachy Keen Halloween Blog Hop!!  What a way to kick off a Monday!!  If you arrived here from the super talented Viv's blog, then you are on the right track, but if not, then please be sure to go back to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and start hopping from there, so you don't miss out on one amazing creation.  There are three new sets being released today at Peachy Keen Stamps, and I'm going to show you a fun little project I did with one of them.  Today, I'm showcasing the adorable Halloween Minis (PK 631) stamp set.  While I was shopping at my LSS the other day, I found these adorable little paper mache' hats, and I thought they would be really cute covered in paper and decorated with my stamps, so that's what I did.  I put my completed hat on this cute little pumpkin,  and it looks so great sitting on the table as our centerpiece inside a bittersweet vine wreath.  This was so much fun, and just serves as a reminder to me that I can do so much more with my stamps than make just a card or scrapbook page.  I would love to do another one of these and work it into a Fall wreath.  That would be soooooo cute!!!!
Here's a little closer look at some of the cute little images that come with the Halloween Minis set.  In total, there are seven fantastic images and two sentiments with this set, which make it so versatile and a great "go to" set for all your Halloween gift giving and crafting.  I used K&Co. paper from the Tim Coffey collection for my hat, and embellished with assorted ribbon and fall leaves.
Besides the release of these stamps today, would you like some more fantastic news?  I'm going to be giving away one of these Halloween Minis stamp sets (shown below) to one lucky commenter on my blog, courtesy of Kathy J., and Peachy Keen Stamps.  You will have until Friday, September 3rd, to leave your comment for a chance to win.  The winner will be chosen at random right before my Friday morning post.  Remember, all you have to do is leave a comment, and if you're not one of my followers, and you like what you see here, please consider adding your name to the list.

Now before I send you hopping to Janice's wonderful blog, I want to remind you that each designer on this hop will be showcasing a different stamp set, and be offering that set to a lucky commenter on their blog, too, so there are 10 chances to win along this blog hop.  They have all worked really hard to bring you some fabulous creations featuring these amazing stamps.  Below, is a complete list of stops for this Halloween blog hop in correct order, in case you should get lost along the way.

Thanks so very much for stopping by today.  Good luck, enjoy the hop, and hold on, because you're in for a Halloween treat that can't be beat!!!!!  Enjoy!!

Sweet -n Sassy Sneak Peek

Hello, and happy Friday!  There's lots of excitement building, because Sweet -n Sassy Stamps is releasing new stamps, and in celebration of that release, we'll be blog hopping on Wednesday, September 1st.  Until the big blog hop,  be sure to check out all the Design Diva's blogs for a peek at all the wonderful creations they've made with the soon to be released stamps.  For this card, I used A Cocoa Kind of Christmas.  Little Cocoa is at it once again, finding cute Christmas themed things to hide behind.  One thing I love about this particular stamp is that it could really be used for a birthday, or any gift giving occasion.
I colored Cocoa with my Copic markers, and the DP comes from a retired Stampin' Up! paper pack.  I followed along with the Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge for the card layout, and used gems for the embellishment element of the sketch.  It's never too early to get started on those Christmas cards, so now, I can scratch one off the list.  I'm also submitting this card for my monthly Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards Swap on Splitcoaststampers.  The lovely Carol is our hostess this month, and she gave us a Christmas in August theme to work with.  Fun, fun, fun!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Wishing you a beautiful weekend, and lots of happy stamping!

You asked For It... You Got it!

HaHello happy stampers!  Well, I finally managed to bring you what you've asked for, and that's another tutorial, and this time, we're doing brunette hair.  This one is for my friend Lisa B.  Now if I could hire someone to just take pictures as I color, THAT would be awesome, and I could put one of these out every day, but, since there's no one to do the technical stuff for me,  it takes me a while, and oh brother... Am I ever NOT good at the technical stuff!!

Here is a picture of the finished card, and as I mentioned in the video, the image is a digital image from The Greeting Farm.    The patterned paper for this little birthday guy came from Scrapbook Store At Your Door, and the  Happy Birthday sentiment is from Sweet -n Sassy Stamps A Cocoa Kind of Birthday set.
Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope your day is filled with blessings, and of course with happy stamping!

Sweet Friends

Good morning!  Well, it's Monday again, and the start of another week.  On this cheerful Monday morning, I have some cheerful cards to share with you that were made with some of my new stamps.  A couple of sweet sisterhood friends sent me some wonderful goodies for my birthday a couple of weeks ago, and I was like a kid in a candy store oogling all of the pretties, and I couldn't wait to ink up my stamps and play!  Here are my first two cards with my new toys, and I have to say thank you to my sweet and wonderful friends.  You know who you are, and I hope you like what I've done with my goodies.  Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness.  You are the best!!!
My first card is made with the All About You Additions stamps set from Paper Trey Ink.  The beautiful flowers and special sentiments in this set allow all kinds of creativity for so many wonderful cards.  The image was colored with Copic Markers, and I added some crystal Stickles to the bee's wings.  The second card (below) was made with  the Grammie and Gramps stamp set from The Greeting Farm.  This is such a fun set, and so appropriate and adorable, since our first grandchild is due to arrive soon.  We're so excited about that, and I know I'll get so much enjoyment out of using this stamp set!   Little Grammie was also colored with Copics. Both cards feature paper from the Friends Till The End collection at Paper Trey Ink.  That's so perfect for how I feel about my sweet sisterhood friends...  Friends till the end!
I'm so happy you could stop by today, and I wish you a blessed day filled with lots of love and even more happy stamping!

Kit Cat Fun

Hello and happy Sunday!  I hope this fine day is treatin' ya well!  I have some Kit Cat fun to share with you today.  Albeit very tardy Kit Cat fun, it was lots of fun, nonetheless.  You see, a group of friends from Splitcoaststampers decided that we'd like to share card kits each month to see what we can come up with by all using the same kit.  It's been soooo much fun to see how wonderfully different all of our creations are.  For the month of June, the lovely Catherine was our hostess.  There were a few of us who got so busy with life and all that was going on, that we decided to choose a day when things were less hectic, to post our creations, so today's the day.    Included in this kit were images from The Greeting Farm's Roll Call Kit.  Maria and Miko were so much fun to color to match the amazing paper from My Mind's Eye's Abby Road collection.  Catherine was spot in in her description of this paper and kit as cheerful and bright for summer, because it certainly is.  As summer is winding down, I loved having a little time to celebrate just a little more of it with these beautiful prints and patterns.  THANKS, CATHERINE!!!

My first card showcases the lovely Miko, when I started putting my card together, I discovered this cute little blinged out button that Catherine had included.  I remembered seeing the Midnight Madness Sketch this week, and I knew immediately that I'd be playing along so that I could use this bling and ribbon for their sketch.  It was perfect!   I needed some embellishments for the corner, as that was an element in the sketch, but couldn't find anything in my stash, so I improvised and sketched out a doodle in each corner and carefully placed rhinestones along my pattern.  Worked like a charm, and I was happy with the result, and pretty darned proud of myself for even thinking of it.  I have my moments!  LOL!!
My second card showcases the lovely Miss Maria.  I decided to try African American skin tones with her.  I took some tips from our friend Mary about coloring skin tones, and added a few of my own color choices to come up with Maria's beautiful skin.  Both images are colored with Copic markers, BTW.  For my Maria card, I decided to work in Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, which was a great one this week.  Worked so wonderfully with all this gorgeous paper in the kit, and I think I used nearly every scrap.
I've gotten several comments about the Copic tutorial I did a couple of weeks ago, and I want you to know that I'm working on more.  I've had specific requests for hair and skin, and they are in the works.  This is all new to me, and I'm a little on the pokey side, but you can expect a hair tutorial this week, so please stay tuned.  I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your wonderful comments, and for your visits and support.  Now, take a little trip over to the rest of the kitten's blogs for some more inspiration.  Kelly, Michelle, (Susan & Jeanette, who posted on time :-), and Catherine, who sent our super, wonderful, fantabulous kits to us are never short on inspiration on their blogs.  Leave them some love, and let them know you appreciate them as much as I do!

Have a glorious day, and I hope you get to do some happy stamping!

Yummy For Your Tummy

Good morning, and happy Friday!  It looks like it promises to be a beautiful weekend here.  At least I hope so.  I've got a card to share with you today that I made with some of the newly released dies from The Scrapping Cottage.  I thought theses soda pop and hot dog dies were so cute, and of course would make great additions to picnic scrapbook pages, but I also thought they'd make a cute card, for those times when I'd like to include a gift card for eating out, and that's what I came up with for today.
I used white card stock when cutting these dies out, and colored them with my Copic markers.  The card stock is all from Stampin' Up!, as is the grosgrain ribbon, sentiment, and the Sizzix label die.  The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety Mini Deck, and I loved the 50's retro feel that it gave this card.  Be sure to head over to The Scrapping Cottage, and check out all the wonderful dies included in this month's release.  There are some absolutely adorable choices for making your cards and scrapbook pages come to life.

I hope you have plans for a wonderful weekend, doing whatever it is that you love, and of course finding time for some happy stamping!

Sweet Pumpkin

Well, it's a happy Thursday once again, and I'm thrilled to share a cute little project with you today.  I was finally able to attend my stamp club this past Monday, and we made this adorable little card using the faux leather technique.  I have to give a big shout out and thank you to my former down line Lauren, for this adorable idea.  We made this little purse card, and for the leather flap, we sponged half of the Top Note die that had been previously cut out in black card stock with Versamark, then sprinkled it with black embossing powder.  After we had it coated good, we took a bone folder and made leather marks or patterns in the powder, then we were ready to heat emboss.  Here's the directions as found on Splitcoaststampers, using a little bit different shaped card, and making more of an alligator skin pattern in the embossing powder.  I'm entering this card in the Splitcoaststampers Ways To Use It Challenge this week, which is to use Versamark on your card or project.
I used one of the newly released stamp sets from Sweet -n Sassy Stamps called Sweet Pumpkin.  The paper is from the new Stampin' Up! catalog, and I cut the grass by hand with black card stock.  I decided this card would be a adorable little brag book, so I'm adding just a few pages to it so that I will have a place to scrap my little grandson's first Halloween pictures.  Even though he won't be here until after Thanksgiving this year, I'll be all set for next year when my Sweet Pumpkin celebrates his very first Halloween, which is his Grammy's favorite holiday to decorate for, BTW.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed this great technique, and don't be afraid to give it a try.  It was REALLY fun, and a very showy effect.  Try it with clear embossing powder on any color card stock for a beautiful tone on tone look.  Have a glorious day, and I wish you happy stampig!

Peachy Keen Challenge #35

Good morning!  I sure hope you're ready for a challenge, because we've got a doozy of one for you this week over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog.  Angelica has completely outdone herself this time by throwing us a sketch challenge with a color challenge twist.  Check this out...

So, whatdaya think?  Is that a challenge or what?  Put your thinking caps on, friends, and  head to that crafty space for some paper crafting fun, and be sure to upload your creation to the PKS Challenge Blog using Mr. Linky, because this time the winner will be judged, and that winner will receive a $30.00 gift certificate from Peachy Keen Stamps!  Just a little more motivation to get that creativity flowing for you!  :-)

Here is my card for this challenge.  I used PK#617 Spider on Freaked Ghost  from Peachy Keen Stamps for this card, and colored the image with my Copic markers.  The very busy patterned paper is from Imaginisce's Hallowhimsy-Eat Drink and Be Scary line of paper.  There's sure a lot going on with it, but I love that it can be cut apart and different parts of the paper used in different places on the card, which is exactly what I did.
There was very little embellishment needed for this one, so I stopped at the little glittery buttons.  I used the out of the box technique when I cut this adorable little ghost out with my circle Nestabilities.  That pretty much does it for this card.  I hope you enjoy, and can find time to play along with our challenge, because I love seeing what you're doing with your Peachy Keen Stamps.  Angelica's got some great tips on the challenge blog for photographing your work, and making blog commenting easy peasy, so be sure and check those out, too.  As always, our designers have a treat in store for you, so be sure to check out all their inspiring creations while you're at the PKS Challenge Blog, AND we have a special treat this week by having Kim from Paper Punch Addiction  guest designing with us!  Her paper punched creations will knock your socks off!!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I wish you a blessed day filled with everything you love and especially happy stamping!

Toad-ally Awesome Birthday & Blog Candy!!

Good morning, happy Friday the 13th, and Happy Birthday to me!  LOL!!  I'm not usually one to wish myself a happy birthday, but today I'm going to, because I'm so happy to be giving the presents to YOU!!  Today, I'm going to give away this Toad-ally Awesome card, along with an assortment of blog candy for my birthday.  It's just a small token of my appreciation for all of the support and encouragement I get from YOU, my followers each and every day.  To enter all you have to do is #1 Be a follower, and #2 Leave a comment on this post sharing with me one of your favorite birthday memories.  That's it!!  You will have until Sunday, August 15th at midnight (CST) to enter, and I will draw a winner at random on Monday morning.  Please leave me an email or contact info so that I can let you know you won.   Below is a picture of the card, and blog candy.
This card was made with some of my new dies from The Scrapping Cottage.  I used  Frog on Lily Pad, Marker Sign, and the Zig-Zag Edger dies, and cut them with colored card stock.  After I assembled the pieces, I colored and did shading with my Copic markers, and added lots of white accents with my white gel pen.  It works just as well to color the colored card stock as it does white.  I cut the fire flies with acetate, and it looks so cute IRL!!

The candy includes the Simply Sent Card Kit (Remembering You, which includes card stock, embellishments, stamps, and everything you need for an entire set of cards), Stamp sets: Live Like You Mean It, Birthday Whimsy, Congrats, 1 6x6 pad of designer paper (all from Stampin' Up!), and 5 spools of assorted printed ribbon with birthday and congratulations sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I wish you a blessed day filled with everything YOU love and lots of happy stamping!

Good morning!  Welcome to The ThINKin' Spot, and welcome to the first of what I hope is many coloring tutorials.  The first one, I tried to make easy.  This tutorial is great for those that don't have a wide variety of Copic markers in their collection.  Actually, choosing three of any color family, leaving 2-3 numbers between each color will achieve great results with these directions.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

Here's a picture of the finished card made with the ghost I colored in the video.  This little sweet thang can be found at Peachy Keen Stamps (PK #619 Trick or Treat Ghost).  I used the blue panel to bring out the blue that I used to shade this little cutie.  I played along with the Mojo Monday sketch this week for the layout of this card.  The DP is from Basic Grey's Eerie collection, and the little bats were punched from my EK Success bat border punch.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope I've inspired you to break out the Copics and start coloring.  Have a glorious day, and I wish you lots of happy stamping!

Special Delivery Birthday

Hello, and happy Tuesday!  I have a sweet little birthday card to share today that's made with one of the new stamp sets from Sweet -n Sassy Stamps to  be released in August.  Right now this cute Little Boy Toys stamp set is available for preorder, and will be shipped out toward the middle of this month.  This set includes four great images, along with five sentiments, which allows you so much versatility with this one stamp set.
I stamped this truck image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with my Copic markers.  I added silver brads to the wheels, and along the side of this sketch, which comes from The Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge.  All of the card stock is from Stampin' Up!, and the patterned paper is from K&Co.  I intended to add some Crystal Effects to the windows to give them a more 3-D look, but I forgot.  I guess I can still go back and do that, though.  The zig-zag edge was done with one of my Martha Stewart punches.

Be sure to head over to the Sweet -n Sassy Stamps website and check out all of the newest releases, and don't forget about those digis!  Korin has released some really cute ones in the past few days, and if you love Fall like I do, then you're going to be one HAPPY STAMPER!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I wish you a blessed day and lots of happy stamping!

Something New Sunday

Good morning!  I've got a little something new and fun to share with you today.  This is a first for me, and by first, I mean my very first video!  Woohoooo!!  I had a lot of people ask me about tutorials and teaching techniques for watercoloring and Copic marker coloring at and since I was at CHA last week, and after a lot of thought and soul searching, I decided to give it a whirl.  This is my first attempt at anything like this and OMG!!  This technologically challenged country girl has a lot to learn!!  It only took me the better part of a day, just to get the basics down.  THEN, there's the editing and adding of all the little goodies and pretties.  I have faith that I"ll get better at this, so please be kind enough to bear with me.  Hopefully it won't take me too long to become comfortable with this, and then we can get on to the good stuff, like coloring with Copics, and getting inky fingers.  THAT'S what I really like!!!  So here's my first attempt.  It's a video of my tiny craft space.  I love looking at other people's craft rooms, and I hope you enjoy seeing what's  in mine.  This is  just the tip of the iceberg, because I have every nook and cranny in this little room crammed full of crafting toys, but this will give you the general idea.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll see you again soon, and in the mean time, I wish you lots of happy stamping!

Flashy Flamingo Friday

Good morning!  Well Friday's here again, and today I'm sharing Miss Flashy Flamingo with you.  Hence the Flashy Flamingo Friday title.  I made this card with The Flamingo die from The Scrapping Cottage.  I cut the pieces with the die and Georgia Pacific white card stock, assembled them with a wee bit of glue, then started coloring with my Copic markers.  This is a technique that I just love, and I'm always amazed at how I can go back and add details.  Many times (and I do mean many), I may not like the way a piece is coming together for me, so I'll put it aside and work on something else.  Later, I will go back, and  start working on it  again, and it will turn out so much better than I imagined.  I guess it's a matter of perspective.  Whatever it is, that's exactly what happened with this image.
Do you ever notice that when you see flamingos proudly displayed in someone's yard that many times they are surrounded by lots of other "stuff"?  That's what I was going for with this card.  Not only do we have one flashy little flamingo chick here, but I surrounded her with bright colors, patterns, and of course, some bling!  My aunt has a friend who just loves flamingos and she snaps up nearly every flamingo card I make, so I know this flashy gal will get a good home.

I'm so happy you could stop by today.  I wish you a blessed day filled with everything you love, and especially some happy stamping!

Back To School

Good morning!  How's Thursday treatin' ya so far?  I hope the answer to that question is very well.  Today I have a card to share that I made for The Stamping Boutique Back To School Blog Hop.  I was in Chicago at the time with very limited internet access, so I asked Amanda if I could sit this hop out, rather than cause an interruption in the hop in case my card didn't post, and I wasn't in a place where I could check on it.  She was so sweet, and allowed me to bow out gracefully, but I still want to share my card with you, so here ya go...
This was made with the adorable Back to School Audrey image from The Stamping Boutique, and colored with Copic markers.  It's hard to see in the picture, but I added some Crystal Effects to her glasses, which make them look like the real thing.  Background paper for this one was really  tough  for me, because I don't have much back to school type paper in my stash.  I did find this Daisy D paper in primary colors, which worked very well.  I punched the chalk board oval with my SU wide oval punch, and cut the letters with my Cricut.    I added polka dots to Audrey's pinafore and scarf with my white gel pen, and finished off this card with the wide striped grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up!.  I love that stuff, and now it comes in so many more colors than it once did!!  I know I'm going to have to have them all!  Be sure to check out all the great back to school images that Tracey has drawn up at The Stamping Boutique.  They are so cute, and the kids will be back to school in the blink of an eye.  Wouldn't they light up to find one of these in their notebook on that first day back?  I know I would!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you've found a little inspiration while you were here, and until the next time... HAPPY STAMPING!!

Peachy Keen Challenge #34

Good morning, and happy Wednesday to you!  Well, I'm a day late, but finally have my Peachy Keen Challenge #34 card finished.  Angelica has yet again given us a great sketch to work with, and I thoroughly enjoyed coloring up this little Teddy Angel (PK-252) from Peachy Keen Stamps to go along with it.   Of course I colored him with my Copic markers, and I added a little bit of sparkle to his wings with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  The card stock is all from Stampin' Up!, and the patterned paper is from K&Co.'s Urban Rapsody collection.
Be sure to check out the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog for all the wonderful creations that my fellow design team members have showcased for this challenge.  Also, you can play along with our challenge for a chance to win a fabulous prize.  Upload your project to the challenge blog and show us what you've been up to with your Peachy Keen Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day filled with lots of happy stamping!

Home Sweet Home

Yes, here we are home sweet home again, and I'm still on cloud nine!  Allen and I had such a wonderful time in Chicago, and at CHA!  I can never thank Kathy and Dave and their family enough for making us a part of it, and we will cherish the memories and friendships forever!!   Here's a quick slide show with a few of our favorite pictures, but there are some 300 more to go through.  I've got to try and get my craft room back to some sort of order so that I can start making cards again, so while I'm busy with that, you can enjoy the pictures!  Have a blessed day!

Oh, and before I forget the randomly drawn winners of my blog hop prizes from last week are Carol commenter #13 who won the Pig Peeker dies donated by Joanne at The Scrapping Cottage, and Nikki, who was commenter #66 from the PKS Blog Hop won the $15 gift certificate donated by Peachy Keen Stamps.  Both winners were contacted by me via email while I was in Chicago last week, and were then contacted by TSC and PKS for information about how to claim their prizes.  Congratulations to both of you ladies, and thank you to everyone who played along.
