Sneak Peek Time!!

Hello and good evening, friends!!!  It's sneak peek time once again, before the big release at Peachy Keen Stamps tomorrow.  Tonight, I'm showing you a little snippet of the newest line of stamps from Peachy Keen, entitled Hillbilly Holler.  These stamps are illustrated by Steve Yarbrough, and there's something to tickle your funny bone for nearly every occasion.  In our world today, with so much worry and sadness, I think we need to have something fun and funny to brighten our spirits and make us laugh out loud.  Now I ask you, is there anyone who does this better than Peachy Keen?   Our friends at PKS have a knack for finding just the right thing to make us smile, and they've done it once again with this line, so without further ado, here's my peek..
Our friends at Peachy Keen Stamps are allowing me to give away one of these stamp sets (4 lg. stamps and 5 sentiments) to one lucky winner from this sneak peek post.  All you have to do is leave a comment here, and tell me what you think.  Do you like what you see?  Are you ready for a leg slappin' good time playing with these hilarious images?  I sure hope so!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by!!  Have a great evening, and happy stamping!

Reminder

Hello everyone!! Just popping in for a couple of reminders. First, today begins the voting for the Digital Art Contest at Crafter's Digital Art Center, and if you have a minute, my sweet friend, Kallista would sure appreciate YOUR vote. Just log on to the CDAC website, and if you're not a member, you'll have to sign up. Then go to the Digital Drawing Contest page, and vote for Kallista Kelly under the Ametures, Beginners, or Hobbyist category. That's it! There are a lot of wonderful entries, and you have one week to cast your vote!! Here's a look at Kallista's Harrison Hare digi.
Thanks so much for your vote and support!!! We appreciate it sooooo much!!!!!

Now, my second reminder is that there have been sneak peeks for the new Peachy Keen Stamps release going on for the past couple of evenings, and if you haven't had the chance to check them out, you've just GOT TO!! Head over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and check out the sneaky peeks. Follow the links to my fellow DT blogs for your chance to win the stamp set they're showcasing! This is one fantastic release, and I'll have a sneak peek of the new Hillbilly Holler line for you at 7 p.m. tonight. I also have a free stamp set to give away to one lucky commenter. We're doing things a little bit different this time, and the winner will be chosen from the sneak peek comments instead of the blog hop comments. So if you'd like the chance to win the first ever release of Hillbilly Holler stamps, illustrated by Steve Yarbrough, be sure to stop by and leave me a comment tonight. Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge

Hello friends and happy Wednesday!!  I have a couple of cards to share with you today that I made for the Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge.  If you check out the C4CC challenge blog, you'll see that this week is anything goes week.  As long as you use a Cocoa image, the rest is entirely up to you.
For the anything goes challenge, I used this cute Pie For Cocoa image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I paired it up with some fun textured paper from DCWV's Green Stack.  Cocoa was colored with Copic markers, and embellishments for this card are old olive grosgrain ribbon and pearls, which are supposed to represent steam from that yummy cherry pie.  The slits in the pie are glazed with some Crystal Effects, and the sentiment comes from the Baked With Love Stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
This card is the one I made for last week's challenge, but I totally forgot to schedule the post, so I thought I'd just wait and share it with you this week.  Polka dots was the challenge last week, and this cutie patootie Cookie with her sparkly nail polish and lipstick have never had polka dots looking so good!!  Cookie is Cocoa's little friend and can also be found at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  Cookie was colored with Copics, and there's a healthy dose of Stickles covering the nail polish bottle.  A Zig Painty pen gave the lipstick the gold metallic look, and Cookie is mounted on foam dots on top of a Nestabilities medallion die cut.  The scalloped circle behind the sentiment is a die from The Scrapping Cottage, and the sentiment itself comes from the Poppies and Greetings stamp set at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  Embellishments finishing this card off are the pretty pearls, and that beautiful satin and organza ribbon from Stamping Up!.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I wish you a beautiful day and LOTS of happy stamping!

Just a quickie this time, but I wanted to share this digital stamp with you that was drawn by my son Trevor's girlfriend, Kallista Kelly. Isn't this little Harrison Hare a cutie? Kallista is a Senior at Missouri Western University studying Graphic Arts and is entering this digi in the drawing contest currently being held on Crafter's Digital Art Center. We're so proud of her!!!
The voting for a winner in this contest will begin on March 31st, so I hope you'll take a minute to visit CDAC and vote for Kallista's little cutie. Voting will be open for 1 week. Thanks so much!!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #97

Good Morning!! It's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge day, once again, and today there's another fabulous sketch for you to play along with. Here's my card...
This fabulous Potting Flowers image from Priscillastyles Store was colored with Copic markers, and the patterned paper was from my scrap bin. For embellishment, I thought these metal flower brads were really different, and they allowed me to add the floral elements from the fancy sketch, while still keeping this card on the clean and simple side. For this image, clean and simple was what I was trying for, because it really needs to be the focus of the card. At least that's my interpretation. Below, please find all the info you'll need about this week's sketch. Sure hope you can play along!!! For inspiration, you should check out what the Midnight Madness Design Team has been up to with this sketch. Their cards and projects are always AMAZING!!

This weeks sketch...it's "YOUR PICK" Make it fancy, clean and simple, or somewhere in-between. Remember to click on the sneak peek button on the side bar for the following weeks sketch each Friday.

Spring Has Sprung

Good morning! Well, Spring has indeed sprung! Well, it's sprung over at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog, at least. It's bright and beautiful here in mid Missouri, but it's a cold 33 degrees, and it's even supposed to snow this afternoon. :-( One sure sign of Spring for me is when the stores start putting plants out, and yes, I've seen plants, AND strawberry plants at that! Oh how I love those strawberries, so that's where my card took me for today's challenge. Our gracious sponsor at The Crafty Pad Designs gave the Kaboodle Doodles team some wonderful images to work with, and I loved coloring these strawberries!
Of course, I colored them with my Copic markers, and the paper actually comes from a Stampin' Up! Halloween pack.  The green stripes looked so pretty with the strawberries, so Halloween or not, I used it.  I'm doing my best to use up all those scraps I have.  I kept this pretty simple and only used some old olive grosgrain ribbon for embellishment.  The sentiment comes from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set from The Greeting Farm.

I hope you can play along with the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge this week.  Once lucky winner will receive two free digital stamps from The Crafty Pad Designs Store, just for playing along!  Thanks for stopping by!!  Have a blessed day and happy stamping!

Whimsical Wishes

Hello, and happy Friday!  It's late, and I'm waaaay late with my post.  I'm so sorry about that, but I was determined to get my card finished and posted before this day is over.  So, here you are!  FINALLY!!!
For this card, I used the new Filigree Fairy die from The Scrapping Cottage.  I cut her out with some wonderful glitter paper, and I actually used my Copics to give her a little flesh color.   This WONDERFUL glitter paper will be available in the Peachy Keen Stamps store soon, so be on the look out for it, as well as those wonderful rhinestone flourishes, which are available there now.  I'm tellin' ya, it's all so sparkly and pretty!!   I doubled up on the wings, and added some rhinestones, because even with the glitter paper, there still just wasn't enough bling for me!  Is there such a thing as too much bling?  I don't think so!!

Again, I'm sorry for being late today.  I've got a very sick grandpa to take care of this weekend.  After finally convincing him to go to the doctor today, he was diagnosed with pneumonia.  Hopefully we're on the road to recovery, but it's been a busy, and difficult day getting to this point.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend, and happy stamping!

Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop

Good Wednesday morning to you, and welcome to the Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop, brought to you by the Design D.I.V.A.S.   If you arrived here from Barbara's Blog, then you are on the right track, and hopping along in perfect order.  If you just happened along, you can start at the beginning at Melissa's Blog, so you don't miss one single bit of the hop.

The Design Divas is a private Facebook group, which is a branch of the Original Design Divas on the Splitcoaststampers website.  The acronym for the D.I.V.A.S is, Divine, Inspirational, Virtuous, Artistic (or annointed) Sistahs.  This is a wonderful group, and I'm blessed to be a part of it.  Each month, the D.I.V.A.S hold a blog hop with the same theme.  Oldies, but goodies.  This means we are creating something with either stamps and/or supplies that we might have had for a while.  This is such a great idea to put some of our neglected things to good use, and share our projects through a blog hop.  Now who doesn't LOVE a great blog hop?  LOL!!!  So on with the hop, and my project.

Last month, I joined a stick pin swap (with a Spring theme) on Crafter's Digital Art Center.  I can't begin to tell you how much fun these pins are to make.  They are SO easy, and I really had fun shopping for beads to make the pins.  As a part of this swap, we were instructed to make packaging for our pins to be presented as a gift.  Here's what I came up with.  As far as the Oldies But Goodies part, I used my Top Note die, which I haven't used in almost a year, and paired it up with the stamp set that was originally made to go with it.  This Yummy (that's the name) stamp set had never seen ink, and both of these products are from Stampin' Up!.  The Vintage Wallpaper stamp is one of my new favorites from Market Street Stamps, and the flower embellishment is from Prima.  I finished this gift package off with a few pearls, and some Pear Pizzazz seam binding from Stampin' Up!.   That's a total of 18 stick pins, all of which were made with beads that I found at local stores and by doing a little online shopping.
Here's a picture of all of my swaps before I packaged them up to be mailed.  WOW!  Were these ever fun!!  I can't wait to make some more!!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Your next stop on the hop is at the talented Linda Anderson's Blog.
Have a blessed day, and happy hopping!

Peachy Keen Challenge #48

Hello, and good morning once again!  For my second post today, I've got my Peachy Keen Challenge card to share with you.  There's a sketch challenge going on over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog, and I decided it's time to think Spring with this one.   I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sure ready!  I think this sweet little chick is, too.  She looks like she's singin' in the rain, and quite happy about it.
This little cutie was stamped with PK-259 Shower Peepers in Memento tuxedo black ink, and colored with Copics.  The designer paper is all from my scrap bin, including the cloud paper, which is a scrap of K&Co. paper I've been saving.  For embellishments, there's of course the lace ribbon, yellow pearls, stickles (on the polka dots on the umbrella), and rain dots and splashes.  I think a gentle rain would be kinda nice to make everything outside fresh and green things up a little bit, and from the looks of the day outside, it may just happen.

Be sure to hop over to the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to check out all the wonderful crafty goodness that my DT sisters have created to inspire you to join us for this challenge.  While you're there, please take a minute to visit Stephanie at her Paper Creations Blog and welcome her as our guest designer.  She'll be bringing you all kinds of wonderful things this week on the Home Blog, and I know you're going to love everything she creates!!

I sure hope you can play along with our challenge.   You've got two whole weeks to create something fabulous and upload it using the link provided.  One lucky winner will be receiving the Spring Words stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps, and it could be YOU!!!  There's also a lot of excitement building for our next big (and I DO mean BIG) release at Peachy Keen Stamps.  Starting next week, you'll be seeing some sneak peeking going on, with the actual release of  the new stamping goodness scheduled for April 1st, when we'll all be blog hoppin' fools!  LOL!!!!!  I'm so excited that I can hardly stand it!  This release is so awesome, and I can't wait for you to see it!!

Once again, I want to thank you for stopping by.  Have a bright and beautiful day and happy stamping!

Midnight Madness Sketch #96

Good morning!  It's Tuesday and time for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  Sketch #96 incorporates so many great elements, including one that I've quickly become addicted to, and that's stick pins!  I joined a swap for these things, and now I can't seem to stop making them.  I recently purchased some great supplies for making stick pins from our sponsor this week, Pizazza  A Plenty.  You can find oodles of great things in their store, including everything you'll need to make gorgeous stick pins.  My card today features some of the pins I made.
I used this beautiful Footprints stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs for this card, and paired it up with some rich and beautiful K&Co. designer paper.  I stamped the image with Memento ink in Rich Cocoa, and colored it with my chalks.  Some Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo gave me the look I was going for by sponging the edges of the image with it.  The stick pins are pinned to paper Prima flowers, with square rhinestones that I colored with my Copic markers in order to make them green to match the stick pins.  The taffeta ribbon was gathered by pulling a string from the center of the frayed edge and ruffling it, and finally I added three more colored rhinestones to the taffeta ribbon, which can also be found at Pizzazz A Plenty.  Below, you'll find this week's sketch and all the details about it.

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #59

Good morning and happy Monday!  The Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog has a new challenge posted, and this week, we're having fun with color!
Pull out the yellow, blue, pink and green and get to creating, because there's a fabulous prize of a $15.00 store credit up for grabs from our sponsor this week, *Wink* Wink* Ink.  My card was made with the Rainy Day digital image from Wink Wink Ink.  It was colored with my Copics, with added polka dot accents using a white gel pen.  The DP is from my scrap tub, and the polka dotted grosgrain ribbon is from Stampin' Up!, as are the flower buttons.  I added some Rain Dot rain drops for texture and dimension, and they look so cool IRL.  They're shinny, and look so real!
I hope you can find time to join us over at the Kaboodle Doodle Challenge Blog this week.  It's always so inspirational to see your creations!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Make it a beautiful day and do some happy stamping!

There's Gnomeplace Like Home

Hello and happy Friday!  I have a card for you today that I made with a couple of the new dies from the Gnome/Fairy release at The Scrapping Cottage.  I used Mr. Gnome and the Gnome Tree Stump House.  I cut everything with white card stock and colored with my Copic markers.  I thought it would be cute to have Mr. Gnome peeking from behind the house.  I hear Gnomes are kinda shy like that.  LOL!!  Should you happen to wonder how I did the wonky circle panel, Here's the deal...  I used my acrylic blocks!!  Yep, you heard me right!  I traced around my acrylic blocks that I use for stamping and cut the wavy circle out by hand.  Cool, huh?
My post is short and sweet today.  I'm babysitting for little Max, and he's keeping me on my toes!!  I hope you don't mind if I share a picture of his first wagon ride yesterday.  The weather was a warm 75 degrees, and it was so good to be outside.  The dog ran into the picture just about the time I snapped the shot.  I could have done without that, but that's the way it goes!  Max looks a little terror stricken, but he REALLY liked the ride!!  Have a blessed weekend, and happy crafting!

Kit Cat Sunday... Better Late Than Never!!

Hello, and good morning once again!  Two posts in one day!!!  I have my post from my monthly Kit Cat Sunday group, but I'm a week and a half late.  Extenuating circumstances kept me from making my post on  Sunday the 6th, and this is the first chance I've had to catch up.  This month we are changing it up a little bit by all using a digital stamp that was commissioned by our dear kitten sister Kelly.  Kelly hired Tracey from Sugar Creek Hallow to make this digital stamp, representing our little group as 5 peas in a pod.  Is that cool, or what?
I used some retired Stampin' Up! paper to make this card, and this wired edged ribbon I found matched the complimentary red and greens that I chose just perfectly.  I stuck on some pearl embellishments, and HOORAY!  Kit Cat Sunday rides again!!!!  The sentiment comes from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Punny Fruits and Vegetables stamp set, and the image was colored with Copic markers.  If you have a chance to hop over to the rest of the kitten's blogs, and check out their posts for Sunday, March 6th, you'll see what goodness they've been up to with their special digi!  Jeanette, Kelly, Susan and Michelle always leave me smiling when visiting their blogs, and I know they will make your day happy, too!  Have a VERY happy day, and of course, happy stamping!

Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge #16

Hello, good morning, and happy Wednesday!  If you're a regular visitor at the Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge Blog, you know that there's a new challenge up this week.  I think many of us are way more than ready to bring on Spring, and that's what our challenge is this week, "Think Spring".
For my card, I chose the Gardening Cookie digital stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  Little Cookie, with her potted sprout made me think instantly of one of my favorite things about Spring... GARDENING!  I LOVE to get outside and dig in the dirt, and apparently, Cookie does, too!  I used the technique challenge that I saw on Splitcoaststampers this week, which was to make lattice on a card.  I embossed the white card stock with the Tim Holtz wood grain embossing folder, cut the center of the panel out with a Nestabilities Label die, then cut slender strips to weave behind the open panel.  I finished this card up with Prima flowers and some pretty ribbon, and my think Spring card is good to go.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Happy Stamping!!
