If you just happend along, then please be sure to go back to the beginning to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and hop along from there, so you don't miss one fabulous creation, or a chance to win one of MANY free stamp sets!!
Today I'm sharing some projects I made with the PK-635 Haunted Pumpkin House, and PK-636 Haunted Pumpkin Accessories! Oh my gosh, my crafty friends!!! I am so in love with these sets!!!!!!! The possibilities are endless with these wonderful stamps, and I hope I've given you some great examples to show you just exactly that!
First up, I have a crafty little home decor item I whipped up. I'm really sorry the pictures aren't better/clearer of this piece, but it wasn't for a lack of trying. I'm tellin' ya, this baby was a tough one to photograph, and finding the right light and background just wasn't in the cards for me. I found inspiration for this, from a home interior magazine, and I just let my imagination take over. I stamped my images on 4x6 pieces of card stock, and added lots of sponging, masking, distressing, and just about anything else I could think of. After I had everything looking the way I wanted, I spritzed it down with some Shimmerz Spritz. Wow! That's some fun stuff, but it can get a little wild if you're not careful. I had my sweet hubby outside cutting sticks so I'd have a variety to choose from, and lucky me, he found just the right one. This really looks great hanging on the wall, and has been a fun addition to the decor around here for my favorite holiday!! ;-)
Here's some closer pictures that I took outside (still searching for good light) of each individual piece, so that you can see a little more of the detail. There's rhinestone stars, chocolate pearls, frayed ribbon bows and flowers, buttons, and lots of shimmer to be found.
I stamped in the little pumpkin in the tree from the PK-632 Halloween Sweet Folks set, and attempted to make it look like my pumpkin bird house in the center panel.
I love these frayed ribbon flowers, and the pearls. I placed each and every one of those babies by hand using a template that I have.
This is the last one, and you can't see it in the photo, but the spider web is loaded with pretty sparkly glitter! Oh, how I loves me some bling!!! Now on to my next little project! How about a treat bag made from a simple brown paper lunch sack? Works for me!! LOL!! Actually, it works very well to hold the Halloween goodies that I recently purchased for my nieces an nephew. Their momma's will be happy, because there's not so much candy this year!! Sponge Bob Halloween movies will definitely be easier on their teeth!!
...Or, if we don't go the treat bag route, how about an adorable luminary? I just added a battery operated candle to the inside of the bag, and this makes and adorable addition to the Halloween decorations! I cut the inside of Mr. Pumpkin's mouth out, and glued some acetate behind it for a window, so that you can see inside the bag. It's soooooo cute!!
The glitter frame around the image was done using Sticky Strip tape, and sprinkling it with glitter. The glitter buttons are a find from my local craft store, and the cob web border was done with my Martha Stewart punches. Do you love this Recollections paper as much as I do?And for my final project, it just wouldn't be Halloween without a spooky haunted pumpkin house. How brilliant our Kathy is to come up with all the amazing accessories to add to that perfectly shaped pumpkin! I swear I could play with this stamp set forever!!! The windows and window boxes are popped up on dimensionals, and this sketch is from the 300th Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. Be sure to play along with that this week, because they've got some amazing prizes they're giving away in celebration of that milestone. Speaking of prizes, I'm giving away one of these Haunted Pumpkin House stamp sets, courtesy of Peachy Keen Stamps to one lucky winner who leaves a comment on my blog between now and Monday October 4th.
