Hello, and welcome to The ThINKin' Spot! It's Saturday, and a beautiful Autumn feeling Saturday at that, so what could be more fitting than a Halloween card? I love to decorate the house for Fall. It's my favorite time of year. I love the way the sky looks, the way the air feels, and everything that goes along with this wonderful time of year. Lately, I've been enjoying Michelle Zindorf's background techniques for making my cards. That's exactly what I used when I made this card with the newly released Nikkity Knack Cat Gang stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.
This technique was so much fun. I did everything on the background by sponging, except the ground, and that was done with the direct to paper technique. These backgrounds are so beautiful, and work so well with solid stamps like this one. The card stock all comes from Stampin' Up!, and the patterned paper is from Papertrey Ink's Halloween Prints collection. Embellishments were kept simple with the black satin ribbon and orange button. With a scene like this, there's no need for lots of other detail. The detail is all right there before you.
Peachy Keen Stamps is celebrating it's 7th anniversary, and in the spirit of that celebration, the presents are for YOU!!! I invite you to visit the Peachy Keen Stamps Website to find all the details about what's going on, and how you can win. There are special savings available right now, through the 7th, but the par-tay continues all month long with special drawings for prizes each Friday. It's a Peachy Keen party that you just won't want to miss, so what are you waiting for? Party on!!!!!!!
I'm so happy you could stop by today. I hope you're enjoying a beautiful extended weekend. Be safe, have fun, and happy stamping!
