Peachy Keen Challenge 41 :: 3-D :: Wall Art

 Hello and happy Friday!  Boy has this week ever flown by!  Today I have a project for the current Peachy Keen Challenge to share with you.  I started working on this some time ago, and decided to finish it out as a piece for Thanksgiving decoration.  For Peachy Keen Challenge 42, we are challenged to create a 3-D item that can be used as wall art.  Since I LOVE working with the Peachy Picks Kit, and wanted a Thanksgiving theme, the paper from this month's kit couldn't have worked better.
I started by covering the slats on this unfinished pine wall hanging with some pretty patterned paper from the Peachy Picks Kit.  I embellished with paper raffia, and pom-pom trim that was included in the kit, as well as the beautiful button assortment.  The sweet Thanksgiving prayer and adorable little birds are all a part of the PK-141 Lil' Tweets Thanksgiving stamp set.  The SVG files that go with this set are VERY handy and save all the fussy hand cutting.  What a time saver!!  I sponged the edges of the birds, sentiment, and the wall hanging itself with Tim Holtz distress ink in vintage photo.  LOVE that stuff!!!

My design team sisters have created some REALLY wonderful things for this challenge, so please be sure to drop by The Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to see their creations, and please do visit their blogs and leave them some love.  We all love to hear from you!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a FABULOUS Friday, and an even more fabulous weekend!  Wishing you many happy blessings and lots of happy stamping!

Fall Swap Cards

Good morning!  I have a couple of Fall card swap cards to share with you today that I recently created with my Peachy Keen Stamps.  A fellow member of The Peachy Keen Connection hosted a Fall card swap over there, and since Fall is my FAVORITE time of year, I signed up for two spots.  Here are the cards I made.  I chose to do one Halloween card, and one Fall card.
 For my Halloween card, I used a tag from a recent Stampin' Up! purchase.  They had a great card kit available that I thought would make quick and easy cards, and while I missed my stamp club meeting for that month, I was delighted when I found that the card shared for class was made with the kit I had chose to purchase.  THAT meant I had a sample using the card kit, and that's the layout I  used for this card.  I'll give my Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Nancy Williams credit for this brilliant layout.  I used the spider and sentiment from the Nikkity Knack Cat Gang for the printed tag, and I added some small googly eyes, which I thought would be a cute touch.   The "Have A Peachy Keen Halloween" sentiment was a free stamp that Peachy Keen Stamps gave out a few weeks ago during one of their fabulous sales.  Lucky shoppers were treated to this stamp with each order placed.  I hope YOU were one of the lucky shoppers!  The card stock and spider web embossing folder, as well as the twine and tag all come from Stampin' Up!.
When thinking about my Fall themed card, I knew exactly what paper I would use.  I just got this great paper from Stampin' Up!, and I got it solely for this card swap.  Thanksfully, there's so much in the package that I have plenty for other great projects, too.  The AW SHUCKS sentiment and the adorable little ear of corn come from the PK-292 Faceless Corn stamp set from Peachy Keen.  I LOVE that "toothless" grin that is included in this set, and I always get a kick out of using it.  Seriously!  How can you look at that face and NOT smile.  It just can't be done!!  I kept the embellishments very minimal for this card, because I wanted the paper and that sweet image to shine.

I hope your Monday is off to an AMAZING start!  It's gonna be a GREAT week, so happy stamping to ya!

 Isn't this little chipmunk adorable?  She was so much fun to color with my Copics, and the patterned paper that's in this month's Peachy Picks Kit is unbelievably GORGEOUS!!

Heehee!  Well, what can ya say about THIS sentiment?  Pretty much says it all, doesn't it?  LOL!  I love that there are such fun sentiments included in some of these sets.  You've just gottal love sharing cards like these with your bestest friends!!  What FUN!!!
I did LOTS of paper piecing on this cutie, as well as a good amount of Copic coloring.

I think this concludes my line up of projects to share with you today.  Be sure to drop by The Peachy Keen Stamps Blog to see what my DT Sisters have created as well, and don't forget to drop by tomorrow and Wednesday, because the sneak peeks will continue!  If you're a member of Facebook, here's the link to our online party event.  Join us today and let us know you're coming to our Release Party on The Peachy Keen Connection, THIS Friday, beginning at 6 PM.
