Doggone Blog Walk
Hello, good morning, and welcome to Dog Gone Stamps first ever blog walk! I hope you have had fun and enjoyed the wonderful creations so far, and I also hope that you will enjoy my contribution. This card was made with the Birthday Betsy stamp from Dog Gone Stamps. Isn't she just the cutest little gal that ever you've seen? Her sweet face is simply irresistible!! I really enjoyed creating this card, because it's the first one I've made in well over a week, and I tell ya, that it felt soooooo good to get back in the craft room and get creative. I topped Miss Betsy's party hat with a gold cord pom pom, and that cute little FETCH bone charm was a gift from the very sweet and generous Lauri Ingram, who organized this exciting blog walk. I received my first Dog Gone Stamps from one of Lauri's blog candy give aways, and I've been in love with their stamps ever since. Please be sure to check out the post below, and some of my older posts for other cards made with Dog Gone Stamps. While you're here, please feel free to start following my blog. I'd love to have you join me in my creative journey, sharing ideas and inspiration along the way.

Wishing
Hello, and good Sunday morning to you! It's been a week since I've had any time for creating or posting, and boy, have I missed it!!!!! I got a huge Stampin' Up! order this week, and my new Dog Gone stamps in the mail yesterday, and I haven't had time to play as of yet. Maybe today, after church and family activities? I sure hope so! I did take time yesterday to finish up a card for my brother-in-law. I feed so bad, because his birthday was three weeks ago, and I'm just now getting him his card and gift!!! :-( That's sooooo unlike me!! I ordered this Riley stamp especially for his birthday because he LOVES to fish. I watercolored Riley with my SU inks and a blender pen. I paper pieced the lily pads, and gave the waterlilies a little shading on the inside. I used a versamarker to add a little shading to the lily pads and water, but I didn't like that the blue card stock took the water based ink a lot darker than the green did. Oh well...live and learn! After adding some twine, eyelets, and a handmade fish hook, I decided to call it good. I think Jim will like it. He's such a sweet guy, and always very appreciative of hand made cards and gifts.
