Hello, and good Sunday morning to you! It's been a week since I've had any time for creating or posting, and boy, have I missed it!!!!! I got a huge Stampin' Up! order this week, and my new Dog Gone stamps in the mail yesterday, and I haven't had time to play as of yet. Maybe today, after church and family activities? I sure hope so! I did take time yesterday to finish up a card for my brother-in-law. I feed so bad, because his birthday was three weeks ago, and I'm just now getting him his card and gift!!! :-( That's sooooo unlike me!! I ordered this Riley stamp especially for his birthday because he LOVES to fish. I watercolored Riley with my SU inks and a blender pen. I paper pieced the lily pads, and gave the waterlilies a little shading on the inside. I used a versamarker to add a little shading to the lily pads and water, but I didn't like that the blue card stock took the water based ink a lot darker than the green did. Oh well...live and learn! After adding some twine, eyelets, and a handmade fish hook, I decided to call it good. I think Jim will like it. He's such a sweet guy, and always very appreciative of hand made cards and gifts.
Supplies
Paper: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Georgia Pacific White, Baja Breeze
Ink: Versamarker, Black Stazon, Pacific Point, Various SU Inks for watercoloring
Stamps: Riley Fishing (Hanna Stamps), Retired SU Waterlily Wheel, Birthday Greetings
Accessories: Silver Eyelets, Natural Twine, Silver Wire, White Signo Gel Pen
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a beautiful spring day wherever you are! May God bless and keep you today and always! Have a blessed day!
