Peachy Keen Challenge #33 & A HUGE Sale!

Hello and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!   With a three day weekend upon us, I can imagine that many of you are celebrating big.  Hopefully you have some fun things planned, and maybe even some stamping, too.  If stamping IS on your agenda, then why not join us for Peachy Keen Challenge #33?  With the chance to win a fabulous prize, be one of those honored with the top 3 spot, OR possibly even making Top Peach, there's LOTS of incentive for playing along.  This challenge couldn't be any easier, either, because it's an "ANYTHING GOES" challenge.  You don't have to use Peachy Keen Stamps to play along, but to be considered for one of the top 3 spots, or Top Peach, using PKS is a requirement.

For my contribution to the anything goes line-up, I created a tag using one of the fabulous vintage button cards that was a part of the August Peachy Picks Kit.  I paired my PPK with the August Stamp of the Month set, and with a little Copic coloring, a beautiful tag was born.   All of the embellishments, ribbon, and the tag itself are a part of that fabulous August kit.  Be sure to drop by the PKS Challenge Blog to see all the amazing samples our designers have created to inspire you, and be sure to visit their blogs and leave them some love. That's what keeps us going...   Your kind comments and encouragement!   Now, would you like some REALLY exciting news?  THIS IS A BIGGIE!!!  Here ya go...

You're All That & A Bag Of Chips

Good morning peachy friends!  Welcome to The ThINKin' Spot on this fine Wednesday!   I'm still having lots of fun with the August release from Peachy Keen Stamps.  My card for today was created with the PK-127 Sandwich Fun stamp set, and the August Peachy Picks Kit.

I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa  ink and then colored and shaded with Copic markers.  The sparkle of jelly that you see is actually purple or grape colored Stickles, which added some sparkle and texture to this sweet image.   I hope you like it, and are inspired to create something fabulous and fun with YOUR Peachy Keen Stamps!!
Are y'all ready for some new peachy goodness soon?  Well, it won't be long till the next round of peachy sneak peeks will be coming your way, and oh my are you ever gonna LOVE 'EM!!  Have a fabulous day, and happy stamping!!

Cottage Cutz Happy Wedding Day!

Hello and happy Sunday to you!  Oh, what a glorious Sunday it is for us, because it's RAINING!!  We've seen little more than a drop here and there for almost exactly 4 months!  We're DEFINITELY doing the happy dance today!!  Another reason for happy dances would certainly be weddings, and I have a card to share with you on this rainy day that was made with dies from the Wedding Release at The Scrapping Cottage.    Here's the card I created with the dies, which I'll list below.
This is the fabulous Cottage Cutz die I used to create this card:
Here's a close-up picture of the car.  I thought you'd like to see the gorgeous sparkle that I gave this piece by spritzing it with some Shimmer Mist (Frost).  It IS a wedding card after all, and ya just can't have a wedding card without some bling.  At least I can't!  ;-)
I used a variety of Copic markers shown in the photo below to color the image, which was cut with Express It Blending Card.  The VERY best choice for coloring with Copic markers, in my humble opinion.  Oops!  Looks like I've got BOTH of my N4 markers in there!  LOL!!
Here's a closer look at the entire card.
And again, here is the finished card.  The sentiment comes from Stampin' Up!, as does that beautiful ribbon.  I added a few rhinestones to the cans, for yet a little more bling.  Gotta LOVE that bling!!
Thanks so very much for stopping by The ThINKin' Spot today!   I hope you have a blessed and beautiful day, and that you're finding reasons to be doing the happy dance, too!  Happy stamping!!

Head of the Class!

Good morning!  Many of you are still sending your kiddos off to school, and I've got another card to share with you celebrating the whole back-to-school thing.  For this one I used one of the CAH-UTE sets release this month at Peachy Keen Stamps.   PK-126 Smartie the Owl is such a great set for so many wonderful cards and layouts, and I think he's just as cute as he can be!

Everything used to make this card comes from the August Peachy Picks Kit, and I especially love the faux Polaroid frames that are included with this kit.  What a fun idea and I can't wait to play some more with them.  I've seen some of our PKS designers use them to create little scenes, which is really cute, too.  I stamped Mr. Smartie with Memento ink and colored him in with Copic markers, adding texture by whisping the ink for the feathers and dotting the ink for his cute little round belly.  It doesn't show up so well in the photo, but I put some glossy accents on Smartie's glasses to make them extra shiny and add some dimension.

I'm really missing my Granny today.  It's really odd how that hits one at what can be the most inopportune or unexpected time.   I've got so many wonderful memories of her, and each time I open a cabinet and see her handwritten note or recipe that she has taped inside, it brings a smile.  Sometimes tears, too, but always a smile.  I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday filled with only smiles and LOTS of happy stamping!  Have a blessed and beautiful day!

School's In Session -- Hip Hip Hooray!

Well school is "officially" in session in these parts and "Hip Hip Hoorays" can be heard ringing in the hills!  Not only are the kids excited and ready, but I think for the most part many parents are too.  Seriously, is there anything more exciting for a child the start of a new school year?  After a wonderful and very busy Summer, it always feels good to settle back into a regular routine and get back into the swing of things.  My card today celebrates all those "Hip Hip Hoorays".

I used PK-128 School Bus and Lunch stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps to create this card, as well as the August Peachy Picks Kit.  The theme for the August release at Peachy Keen Stamps is "Back-To-School", and these stamps are some of the cutest I've ever seen!  They make creating school themed projects so much fun, and they really make me miss the days when my little ones were beginning a new school year.

This happy little school bus was colored with Copic markers, and as previously mentioned, the patterned paper is from the August Peachy Picks Kit.  The only embellishment I used was this beautiful wide striped ribbon, which I absolutely LOVE!  I hope you like it, too!!

I'm so happy you could stop by today.  Have a wonderful day, and happy stamping to ya!  ... HIP HIP HOORAY!!!

Photo Memories

Good Monday mornin' to ya!  It's been a wonderful few days spent with family at the Missouri State Fair, and today is our last day, and we're headed home... right after I hit the lottery building yet again. *wink, wink* ;-)  I couldn't let this day get away from me without sharing a scrapbook page I made during sneak peek week last week. LOL!  Ya gotta love all the  modern conveniences at the campground (like WIFI)!! Heehee!  Have you seen that Peachy Keen Stamps has got a fabulous new school themed release out? There are so many wonderful possibilities using these new stamps, and I particularly love the amazing scrapbook page possibilities, with them.   Here's my take on just one.
I found this picture of my youngest when he was in first grade, and I'll be darned if I didn't find one of myself at the same age while I was rummaging through photos, so I managed to squeeze that one in too.  Those cute little caterpillars and the apples in varying degrees of being eaten are all a part of the PKSC-08 August stamp of the month set.  I know you probably get tired of hearing it, but I love these stamps, and honestly, I just don't think there's ANY I've seen that are cuter than these.  Be sure to drop by The Peachy Keen Stamps Store and check out all the new designs, including the fabulous add on sets.  They're WONDERFUL!!  The paper that I used on this project comes from the current Peachy Picks Kit available at Peachy Keen Stamps, too.  It's a monthly club, and oh, does it ever make things easier for the indecisive paper crafter, because it's all perfectly coordinated for us!  How cool is THAT?  Pretty darned cool, I'd say!

Well, it's back to the fair!  I hear the Lottery calling my name!!  Have a wonderful day, my sweet friends, and happy stamping to ya!

Pocket Full of Sweet Baby

Good morning to you on this bright Monday morning!   I'm still playing with adorable Cottage Cutz  dies from the baby release at The Scrapping Cottage, and this sweet card is yet another of my favorite creations using them.
The patterned paper and card stock I used on this card come from The new Peachy Picks Kit from Peachy Keen Stamps.
This card includes the following Cottage Cutz dies from the baby release at The Scrapping Cottage.

This is one of my favorite dies from a previous release and I use it all the time.  A MUST HAVE in my humble opinion!
If you haven't dropped by The Scrapping Cottage to check out the Wedding Release and The Victorian Garden Release, then you're missing out!  There are some fabulous new designs that our Cottage Cutz fans have been asking for, and fabulous is an understatement!  Head over there today and check them out!
Have a great day and happy stampin'!

Peachy Keen Challenge #29

Hello and HAPPY FLIPPIN' FRIDAY!!!   Fridays are always good, aren't they?  They mean the weekend and relaxing, fun with family, or whatever you enjoy is right around the corner, and if you're like me, fun means crafting or stamping, in addition to all the other wonderful possibilities.  If you've got time to craft this weekend, why not play along with the Peachy Keen Challenge?  We've got a great color challenge going on, and joining us gets you a chance to win a fabulous prize, and a chance at the Top Peach honor.  Here's my card for this challenge...
For this card, I followed the color palette on The Peachy Keen Challenge Blog,  and I used the Country Bumpkin Jack 'O Light stamp set available at Peachy Keen Stamps.   The image was colored with Copic markers and the patterned paper is from Basic Grey.  I used a chevron embossing folder from Stampin' Up! to give the panel behind Mr. Jack some texture.  I love this color combo, and thought immediately of this paper and Halloween when I saw it, and it happened to work out really well for this.

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend, my stamping friends!  May God bless and keep you today and always, and may you always have happy stamping!!

Sneaky Peeky Time!

Good morning!  Welcome to The ThINKin' Spot and happy Thursday to you!  There's lots to be done today, but I just couldn't step outside without sharing a sneak peek of what's soon to come to The Peachy Keen Stamps Store.  These new stamps are just gonna blow you away, and I can't wait for you to see them all.  Here's a little sampling of what I've been up to with them.
We're having a release party on The Peachy Keen Connection Sunday at 6 p.m. (CST), and I sure hope you can be there, because there'll be prizes, chatting with the design team, games, challenges, and as always LOTS of fun!  Looking forward to seeing you then!!!
