Sweet Little Baby Card

 Good morning!  Well, it's Monday, and I hope it's shaping up to be a good one for ya.  Have you seen  this baby release from The Scrapping Cottage?  It just couldn't have come at a better time.  I spent the weekend celebrating two new babies that are to be born into our family within the next 4-6 weeks.  My niece will welcome her second little one at the end of next month, and on September 12th, my second grandson will make his debut.  It's so wonderful to have the opportunity to celebrate these special blessings and that made it easy to find inspiration for creating this sweet card.

In creating this, I used the following amazing Cottage Cutz dies:

 

 

The adorable little baby elephant was cut out using Express It Blending Card, and I colored it with Copic markers.  On the beautifully detailed large baby doily and frame, I used a very heavy weight card stock, so that it would be stronger in order to hold the flowers and baby elephant die cut.  The flowers, turquoise grosgrain ribbon and sentiment from Stampin' Up! finished this one up, and on, what fun it was!!

Welcome To The Funny Farm!

YES, this IS a funny farm, and in more ways than the obvious.  LOL!!  This is an even funnier farm today, because I'm sharing this card made with one of my new favorite stamp sets, entitled exactly that...

 This is one of the new releases from Peachy Keen Stamps, and I completely LOVE IT!!!  Lots of inspiring cards and pages will be created using this stamp set.  The card stock, ribbon and patterned paper are all part of  the Peachy Picks Kit for the month of July.   Oh how I adore these kits, because they make creating so much easier.  Everything is coordinated to perfection!  I stamped this image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with my Copics, and the little farmer's head is popped up on dimensionals.  I thought it would be cute to put his head on an Action Wobble, but I couldn't get it to fit.  Would anyone else besides me like to see those in a smaller size?   I love me some Action Wobbles, but would really love to have a smaller size for such projects as this one.  Maybe someday... who knows!!

Peachy Keen "Chalk It Up" Challenge #25

Well, hello again!  Yep!  I'm back with not one, BUT two posts in one day!  Can you believe it?  It's sure been a busy week with a holiday and a new stamp release at Peachy Keen Stamps, AND a new challenge at the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog as of today!  Today's challenge is a "Chalk It Up Challenge".  Creating a card using chalk is something that I haven't done for a long, long, time, but I have to admit that I really enjoyed changing things up a bit.

 

I actually colored this image with chalk using a Dove Blender Pen.  I love the soft muted look that this technique gives the image.  And speaking of image, this sweet little doll is from the PK-124 Thank You Dolls stamp set that was just released last night.  If you like the paper, then you will LOVE the new Peachy Picks Kit that was just released as well.  The weathered and worn comfort of Americana style comes through in a fresh, updated way in the Super Fresh paper collection by Simple Stories.  Included in this month's kit is the following:

• 9 - 8.5" x 11" sheets of heavyweight Bazzill cardstock

Bright and Beautiful Flowers For You

Good morning!  Today I have a card to share with you that's  filled with bright and beautiful flowers all made with wonderful CottageCutz dies.  Making gorgeous cards and scrapbook pages is so easy with these beautiful dies and they turn out perfectly every time!!

 I thought this pretty paper from Bo Bunny was a good match to the leaves on this Tropical Trio Flower CottageCutz Die, and the Lace Flower Doily die made a great backdrop for the bright and beautiful cluster of flowers.  I simply chose colors from the polka dots in the paper to make everything coordinate

Here's a closer look at the gorgeous detail from the flowers.  I added some tiny pink rhinestones for just a touch of bling.  Below you'll find photos and links to the dies I used to create this card.

Peachy Keen Sneak Peek Day and SALE!

 Good morning and Happy Independence Day!!   It's time to celebrate, and we're celebrating this wonderful country of ours with sneak peeks and a BIG sale over at Peachy Keen Stamps.  Tomorrow is the day for our new stamps to be revealed  and we couldn't be more excited to share!  Here's my card to give you a little teaser for what peachy country style goodness is on it's way tomorrow.  This may be my favorite release yet (for obvious reasons) and I think you're gonna LOVE IT!!
