Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #56

Hello everyone!  Well it's Monday, and that means it's time for another Kaboodle Doodles Challenge, and for challenge #56, we've got a recipe.  It's a 3-2-1 recipe.  That means for your card or project, you'll need to use 3 patterned papers, 2 solids, and 1 embellishment.  Oops!  I think I didn't follow the directions very well, because technically I have more than one embellishment, although, since I seldome make a card without ribbon, I'm not officially counting the lace ribbon as an embellishment.  Now with the rhinestones, there ARE three, but I'm counting those as one embellishment unto themselves.  LOL!!!  With that reasoning, my card works out just fine for this challenge, right?  See there...  I KNEW I could make it work!!  Heeheehee!!  Oh well, I had fun with this challenge, anyway!
The sponsor for this week's challenge is Gingerloft, and this cute  Pitcher of Flowers image came from their digi store.  I did my best to color the pitcher to look like one of those old granite pitchers that I've seen in antique shops.  I always think they look so cool with fresh flowers in them, and that's what this image reminded me of.   I hope you like what I've done with this one, EVEN if I didn't quite follow the rules like I should have.  Ahhhhh, the best of intentions!!   I sure hope you have a minute or two to do some crafting and play along with our challenge this week.  I'd love to see how much better YOU can follow directions than I!  LOL!!  Have a blessed day, and thanks so much for stopping by!  Wishing you LOTS of happy stamping!

Claudia & Co. Customer Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to Claudia and Company's first ever Customer Blog Hop!  We’re so excited to have you join us!  Today Claudia and Company is celebrating all of US; their dear friends and customers and that includes YOU!
If you’ve just joined the fun, pop over to the Claudia and Company Blog  to start the hop and get all the deets!

For my card, I used this adorable  Party Time Piper digital image from Claudia & Company.  I printed little Piper off rather large at 3x5.  I LOVE to color large images, and with digis, you have that versatility with sizing, which is wonderful!!  I colored this image with my Copic markers, and I've left out the sentiment, because I've not quite decided for what occasion I'll be using this card.  I have several possibilities, so we'll just have to wait and see.
For the edge of this card, I used my EK Success large scallop border punch.  The card stock is Pink Pirouette from Stampin' Up!, and the DP is from Basic Grey's Sugar Rush collection.  Embellishments are the 1 1/4" pink pirouette grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up for that BIG bow, and that pretty pearl flourish by Want 2 Scrap.  I finished this card off with a sweet little satin bow for Piper's hair, and VOILA!!  A card to celebrate Claudia & Company's Customer Blog hop!

Be sure and leave a comment on each of today’s fabulous posts, to be eligible for the prizes that are up for grabs! You'll have until Monday, February 28, 12pm EST to comment. Winners will be announced on March 1, during their Release Day Showcase.  I'm so glad you could hop along with us today!  I hope you're having fun and enjoying all the inspiring creations along the way.  Have a blessed day and HAPPY STAMPING!

Here is the complete list of stops on the Hop!  Again, thanks for joining us and happy hopping!

Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge #13

Hello everyone!  We're half way through this week, so that means that there's another Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge up and ready for you to play along with.   Our challenge this week is "Flower Power".  Pull out all the stops and get those flowers out!  Spring is on it's way, and this is JUST the ticket to get you in the mood!
I used the Flowers For Cocoa digital stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for this card, and like there weren't enough flowers there, I decided to add a few more paper flowers as well.  This was colored with Copic markers, and the sentiment comes from my friend Emma's new stamp line. Head over to the Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Cocoa Crazies have done this week, and I hope you'll have time to play along with us.  There's a great prize up for grabs at the end of the month for all participants!

Have a blessed day, and thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy Stamping!!

Peachy Keen Challenge #46

Good morning!  For my second post today, I bring you the card I made for the Peachy Keen Challenge #46, and we'd love for you to play along with us!!  The guidelines are very simple, and are as follows:
Your design must be new, project must incorporate elements from provided sketch, and you mustl ink to Mr. Linky on the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog before March 7th.  As with all of our sketch challenges, the basic layout should be there, but feel free to flip elements & get creative!
For my card I used PK-283 Cheers For Green Beer stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I stamped this adorable mouse with Memento Tuxedo Black in, and colored it with my Copic markers.  I used my Fancy  Tags Nestabilities die for one of the elements in the sketch, and kept the embellishments to just the rhinestones and satin ribbon.  The patterned paper is from Best Creation, Inc..  Their Bella collection, I believe, and the card stock is a beautiful shimmery green from Bazzil.  I did do a little bit of air brushing on the fancy tag before I popped it out of the die, which is a really nice effect.
I hope you'll find time to play along with our challenge, because there's a wonderful prize up for give away to one lucky player.  You can find all the sketch details, a picture of the prize, and samples of some amazing artwork using the sketch, compliments of our talented designers on the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog.  We have a very special guest designer this week, too!  Cindy Burgess from Mrs. B's Craft Room is designing with us for this challenge, and all week long on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.  Be sure to drop by to see all the amazing creations Cindy comes up with using Peachy Keen Stamps, and don't forget to visit her inspiring blog and leave her some love, when you do!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today!  It's always my pleasure to have you, and I wish you a glorious day filled with happy stamping!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #92

Good morning! It's Tuesday, and that means it's time for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge!  My card for this challenge was made with the Gnome digital stamp from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and more.  Gnomes are VERY popular right now, especially with the release of Gnomeo and Juliet, and I sure enjoyed coloring this little fella up with my Copic markers.  I hope you like it, and be sure to check out all the details below on how you can play along with this challenge for a chance to win a fabulous prize!!
I used a mixture of Stampin' Up! and Bazzil card stock for this card.  The patterned paper is from my scrap bin, and I'm not sure who should get the credit for it, but is worked beautifully with this image.  For embellishment, I used some 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon, rhinestones, and a paper flower that I did a bit of airbrushing on.

This weeks sketch...it's "YOUR PICK" Make it fancy, clean and simple, or somewhere in-between. Remember to click on the sneak peek button on the side bar for the following weeks sketch each Friday.

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #55

Good morning!  How about a challenge today?  Well, it's time for another Kaboodle Doodles Challenge, and for challenge #55, we are to break tradition.  We all tend to stay inside our comfort zones when we create, but  this time, we're going to step outside of that comfort zone just a bit, and try a different, or nontraditional fold.  There are a lot of great choices out there, and for my card, I chose to do a flap fold.
I used this sweet Napping Kitty image from Wink Wink Ink for this card.  I printed the image digitally and colored it with my Copics.  The flap fold card technique can be found here on Splitcoaststampers.  I started with Kraft card stock for the base of my card, and added this great textured paper from DCWV's The Green Stack.  The edge of the flap on this card was punched with an EK Success large scalloped border punch, and I popped the kitty up on a make shift shelf across the front of the card.  I did a bit of hand stitching around the edges of the flap, and finished the card off with some pretty coral colored pearls, and a piece of taffeta ribbon.  This is the "purrrrfect" size card to hold a gift card, and I plan to use it for just that.

Wink Wink Ink is the gracious sponsor of Challenge #55, and they provided the Kaboodle Doodles design team with some fantastic images to work with.  Please take a minute to drop by the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog to check out all the inspirational samples that our talented design team has created for you.  Be sure to leave them a little love, too!!  :)  We'd sure love to have you play along with our challenge if at all possible.  You could win the fabulous prize of a $15.00 gift voucher to the Wink Wink Ink store just for playing along!!  I don't know about you, but free images is a pretty good incentive for me to play along!!  Hope to see you there!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you're having a terrific start to your week.  Have a great day and happy stamping.

Down on the Farm

Good morning!  Down on the farm.  That's where I am each and every day, and these sweet Cottage Impressions farm images are very near and dear to me just for that reason.  I think you all know that coloring is my favorite thing to do, and when I saw these adorable images, I couldn't hardly wait to color them!!  This one is the Farm Boy stamp and the entire line can be found at The Scrapping Cottage, so if you haven't checked those out, you should head over there and do just that!  Wouldn't these make the cutest scrapbook pages to capture a fun of a day at the farm?  The possibilities are endless with these.  I can use this for nearly any kind of card, and I'm sure if one was clever with words,  one could come up with a snappy little sentiment making reference to that pitchfork.  :)  LOL!!
In addition to the adorable stamp, I used my Cottage Cutz Rick-Rack Edger for the background on this card.  I love the versatility of that thing!!!  The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Copic Markers, and the paper is all from my scrap tub, but I believe it came from K&Co.  I have more of these cutie patootie farm stamps to play with, so be looking for those soon!  Have a beautiful day, and happy stamping!

Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge #12

Good morning! Have you checked out the Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge this week? We're already at challenge #12! WOW!! How does THAT happen? I guess it's true that time flies when you're having fun, and it's a lot of fun coloring Cocoa mouse.

The challenge this week is a color challenge. Purple, green and yellow are the colors, and the rest is your choice, other than you DO need to use a Cocoa image. It IS a Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge, afterall. :)

The sentiment comes from my friend Emma's new stamp line. This particular sentiment comes from her Mom You Rock stamp set. My mom loves to garden, and especially loves flower gardening, and this sweet image made me think of Mom, and Mother's Day, which will be here before we know it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I wish you a blessed day and happy stamping!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #91

Here's my take on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #91 this week. Boy, did this card take me some time to finish, but I'm pretty pleased with the results. Note to self: Burlap is NOT the easiest thing to work with for card making!! BIG SURPRISE!! LOL!!! I used folded paper as one of the elements from the sketch, and this card has lots of distressing to give it that authentic "Country" feel. While it was a lot of work, if I'm totally honest, it was a lot of fun to make, too.

I used Tim Holtz distress ink in Tea Dye for the edges of the image, and all of the paper came from a package of now retired Daisy D. paper. The image was printed digitally and colored with Copic markers. That about does it for this card. Simple, but then again... Not so much!! :) Below, you'll find all the info about this weeks challenge, and be sure to hop over to the Midnight Madness Challenge Blog to see what our talented designers have created for your inspiration.

One More Valentine!

Hello everyone!  I'm back, so that I can share one more Valentine card with you before this night is over.  I made this card quite some time ago, and it was created for my February Copic class.  Well, the classes ended up being cancelled because of the blizzard, but I wanted to share the card with you anyway.  The plan was to teach the technique for fur and or hair for the last class.  That will have to wait for another day, and in fact, that's just what we'll be doing for our April class, using an adorable Easter bunny stamp.

This card was made with the Valentine Cupids stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I hope you've had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  I'll see you tomorrow for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, and the Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge!  Have a great night!

Kaboodle Doodle Challenge #54

Good morning!!!  I'm thrilled this morning to be sharing a card I've made for my first ever DT assignment with the Kaboodle Doodle Challenge Blog.  I was both surprised and thrilled when I was asked to be a member of their design team, and look forward to getting to know all the talented designers that I'm blessed to be working with, and sharing more of KD challenges with you every week.  Please tune in each Monday for a new challenge and all the wonderful inspiration that our designers will have to share with you!  The challenges are fabulous and fun, and each week there's an opportunity for someone to win an amazing prize from our generous sponsors!
So, the challenge for today is hearts and flowers in celebration of Valentine's Day!!  Happy Valentine's Day to you, BTW!!!!!  Our sponsor for this challenge is Pink Cat Studios, who graciously gave us images to work with.  I chose to use this cute Frog in Love image for my card, and I played along with The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge for this layout.  I used Stampin' Up! card stock in Pink Pirouette, and Silver, and the white card stock is from Paper Trey Ink.  I chose to hand cut around the little frog, and balloons, and I added silver cord to them for the strings.  The sentiment was computer generated, and I used grosgrain ribbon, paper flowers, and rhinestones to embellish.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I wish you a glorious Valentine's Day filled with lots of love and happy stamping!

Valentine Love

Hello everyone!  I hope this fabulous Friday is treatin' ya well!  We're looking forward to warmer temperatures this weekend, and everyone I know is VERY excited about that!!  This weekend will be a busy one with Valentine's Day being on Monday.  Have you made your Valentine's yet?  I have a pretty good stack of them going, and with any luck those will take me as far as I need to go.  I have two cards to share today, and I used the same layout for both.  I just changed up some of the card stock colors and the die cuts, but left everything else the same.  For the first card, I used the Puppy with Valentine die from The Scrapping Cottage, and I strayed from my usual tendency to cut with white card stock and color with my Copics.  I cut everything with colored card stock, then shaded by sponging the edges with various colors of Stampin' Up! ink.  I added some rhinestones to the puppy's collar, and used a technique I picked up from Barry, who is a fellow designer on The Scrapping Cottage team.  Barry shared a tip to bring a pretty sparkle to your projects by using a glitter Gelly Roll pen.  Instead of trying to color or fill in an area with the glitter pen, Barry suggests that you lay down a line of color, working in small areas, then take your finger and blend the glitter around.  This is such a beautiful effect, and so much easier than dragging out the glitter and a glue pen.
I used the technique that Barry shared for both of these cards along the edges of the die cuts, including the puppy, kitty, and conversation hearts.  The Conversation Hearts are a mini die that is also available from The Scrapping Cottage.  I used Stampin' Up card stock, designer paper from Making Memories, and Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up! for both cards.  I cut the circles and scalloped circles with my Nestabilities, and did a little bit of air brushing with my Copics around the centers of each circle.
You can see the sparkle a bit better on this card.  Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned, and with any luck, maybe it will include some happy stamping!!!

Peachy Keen Challenge #45

Good morning!  Welcome to Peachy Keen Challenge #45!  Using Angelica's great sketch, I'm partying with my Green Bay friends by making a card to celebrate the Green Bay Packer's Super Bowl win!  WOW!  I'm not even a football fan, but I watched, and thought it was a great game!  Our Peachy Keen family are all HUGE fans, and I know they couldn't be prouder!!  So, here's my card celebrating the winners of Super Bowl XLV!!!!!  THE GREEN BAY PACKERS!!!  Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
I've been wanting to color this PK-852 Bottoms Up Snowman from Peachy Keen Stamps for a while, so I thought why not give him a Packer's logo on that jersey.  I just added that by sketching it in and coloring with a white gel pen.  The patterned paper is some I had in my stash of scraps, and the twine is from Martha Stewart.  I thought the Martha Stewart grass punch would be a great representation of the turf on the football field, and I  had to use nearly a whole package of stars for the stars of football the Packers.  The little snowman himself is popped up on an Action Wobble, which was gifted to me by my sweet and talented friend, Emma, and it's so cute when he wobbles.   You can find those at www.actionwobble.com, and they are so much fun!!!  Thanks, Emma!!!!

Be sure to head over to the Peachy Keen Challenge blog to see what our talented designers have been up to with the latest sketch.  Play along for a chance to win a prize, and check out what our guest designer DoBea Alberts has been doing with her Peachy Keen Stamps.  I was very fortunate to get to meet DoBea at CHA, and I can't begin to tell you what a sweetheart she is.  Top that with the fact that she's so very creative and talented, and you'll find you can't help but be inspired!!!

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!  Happy Stamping!!!

Here's my card, made with the adorable Duck image from Glitterbabe's store.  Having a baby around, I just can't seem to get enough of all the cute baby images, and this one is large in size and loads of fun to color!  Of course I used my Copic markers, and the paper is all from my scrap bin.  The lacing on the corners was done with twine from Jillybean Soup, and the flowers were originally white, and colored with Copics to match my cute little ducky.

Kit Cat Sunday Rides Again!!

Hello friends!  It's time for another Kit Cat Sunday Challenge.  The lovely Michelle is our hostess with the mostess this month, and she sent us a fabulous kit which included these hilarious images from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I chose to work with the Angry Ballerina image, and color it with Copics.  This sweet little ballerina is pretty huffed up about her headgear, and I laugh every time I look at it!!  Yep!  It's just one of those days!!!
I used Stampin' Up! card stock in Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, and Kraft for this card, and the patterned paper is from Prima's Jack and Jill line.  Michelle included so many wonderful things for us to work with, and I still have a bunch of stuff left for other projects.  I chose to use this ribbon from The Scrapbook Store, the stick pin from KatzWorld (www.katzworld.etsy.com), and the pink rhinestones.  I probably could have used some more of the wonderful goodies that Michelle sent along, but I wanted to keep this card on the clean side, and showcase that hilarious image.

Please hop on over to see what Michelle, Kelly, Jeanette, and Susan have created with their kits.  I know you'll enjoy all of their creations.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a glorious day!  Happy Stamping!!
