Recipe Challenge for Thanksgiving

Good morning! It's been a week since my last post!! I can't believe it!! The week has flown by. I've been taking every spare moment I have to spend some time creating, but there's just been a lot going on. I think I'm about to get caught up, but then it will be time for Thanksgiving, and getting ready for Christmas. All good things, though, so bring it on!!
This week, the challenge on the Recipe Challenge Blog is very appropriately a Thanksgiving recipe. Well, I know that everyone has their own favorite for Thanksgiving dinner, so I'm sharing a recipe for Turkey salad to use up all of that left over turkey. The stamp I used is from Sweet -n Sassy Stamps . Templeton Turkey is available as a digi, so there's still time to get him and color him up for your Thanksgiving celebration. This wonderful paper came from the Scrapbook Store at Your Door, and I had only admired the "turkey" side of the paper, but once I turned it over, and saw the drumstick side, I immediately knew that I HAD to use both sides on my card. Half and half it is, and it worked very well!!

The large copper brad is also a find from the Scrapbook Store At Your Door. I stamped the gobble on it with my Stazon ink. Head on over there, and have fun shopping for all your designer paper and embellishment needs, as Julie has a wonderful selection to choose from. If you love doing recipe pages, then you will surely find everything you could ever want or need in one fast and easy stop!! I colored my turkey with my SU inks and an aquapainter, and added highlights with a white gel pen.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I wish you a blessed Thanksgiving filled with lots of great food, and the love and warmth of your family! Happy Stamping!

Love ya,

Aw, ya tricked me! I saw the "Just Say No To Turkey" and thought you had a veggie recipe for me! LOL!
Actually, I make turkey salad for the rest of the family with the leftovers from T-day - then we put it on toast, add some cheese and voila: Turkey Salad Melts. They love it! I'm going to make one for me sans carcass - we'll see how it goes.
The recipe card is beyond cute! Love the papers, image, ribbon and metal embellie. Your coloring is amazing and you go girl with that gel pen!
I know you are going to have the most wonderful & blessed Thanksgiving weekend, my dear.
{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}} and love to you & your peeps! :D
