NOTE: TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP FOR MY BLOG CANDY!!! WINNER WILL BE CHOSEN AT RANDOM AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT!!!
Good Monday morning!! I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, had lots of turkey, and got your Christmas shopping off to a good start! I had a great Thanksgiving, but not so much shopping off my list yet. It's a work in progress!! Today the challenge at the Recipe Challenge Blog is to share a recipe with ANYTHING but turkey!! I don't think I'd ever get tired of turkey (ESPECIALLY my Mom's), but I know a little bit goes a long way for some people. This recipe is one I've had for a while, but it was also shared by one of my stamp club girls for our monthly recipe page. It's a tried and true Paula Deen recipe that was found in her magazine.
I used some of the fabulous kitchen paper that Julie sent me from the Scrapbook Store At Your Door for the background squares, and the ears of corn were made with oval punches. I drew the checkerboard kernels in by hand, and colored them with markers. The cornsilk bow was made by fraying twill ribbon, and just tying a knot in the center of the strip. That pretty much does it for this page. Please check out the Recipe Challenge Blog, and play along with us. It's a great way to share your artwork, and get new recipes to boot!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a glorious day filled with things that you love, and happy stamping!!

OOh! lots of 'c's going on there! Ha Ha. Corn from punches! Magic. How do you think 'em up my friend. I'm in awe.
'See' you tomorrow on PK! It promises to be awesome.

OH Lorie, this is just deliciously cute! Those little ears of corn are just darling! What a terrific eye for detail to hand-draw them, and then to add the little touch of country straw - divine! This looks like a scrumptious recipe - we are a HUGE corn family here and this recipe is no exception to sounding delish! Delightful :)
