Recipe Challenge Monday

Good morning!  Is it nice and warm where you are?  I sure hope so, but for me today, this recipe will be just the ticket!  It's cold, snowing, and the wind is howling!  A nice cup of this Fireside Cocoa Coffee Mix ought to do just the trick.  Today is the day for a new recipe challenge sponsored by the Recipe Challenge Blog and Scrapbook Store At Your Door.  Our challenge is to come up with a recipe for drinks to warm the soul.  What's better than a good cup of coffee or hot chocolate, and when you combine the two,  you've achieved absolute perfection!!

I used this fabulous two sided paper from Scrapbook Store At Your Door for my page today, and  added the sentiment and House Mouse image, which can also be found there.  I colored this little guy with my Copic markers, and added some Cotton Candy Stickles to the heart and steam. The subtle cup and steam you see in the background of the recipe were stamped with the rereleased Hot Cocoa set from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I was so happy to see that set come out of retirement!!  Woohoo!!  The hearts were punched with my SU triple heart punch, and the recipe was cut wil my Nestabilities label die.  I used some textured card stock behind the label, and did a little paper piercing on the corners.  The edges of the label are distressed, and sponged with gray ink, and I  sponged a little gray behind the cup just for a little bit of a shadow effect.  Please be sure to stop by the Recipe Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the girls have cooked up to warm your soul.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a blessed day, and happy stamping!

Love ya,
