Peachy Keen Challenge #25

Good morning!  It's Tuesday, and time for another Peachy Keen Challenge.  Challenge #25, to be exact.  This one is a sketch challenge, and oh, it's a good one!  I love adding layers and panels to cards, and especially I love it when I have a sketch all layed out for me, so that I don't have to decide what goes where. For this card,  I used PK-276 Flower Centers, PK-273 Faceless Flowers - 12 Petal Daisy, and PK-493 Everyday Character Face Parts, all of which can be found at Peachy Keen Stamps.   These stamps are so amazing, and I love that the flower centers interchange with all of the faceless flower stamps.  I stamped, cut out, and layered the three different sizes of flowers, and punched the face center out with a 3/4 inch circle punch.  After it was assembled, I added a page pebble to the face of the flower for shine, and added dimension (It also magnified the center of the flower, which looks pretty cool).  The flower's background panel was stamped with the PK-273 faceless flowers in Barely Banana and Sahara Sand ink to match the DP from Stampin' Up!.  After I stamped it, I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder, then sponged the dots  with Sahara Sand ink.

To finish this card off, I added the flourishes which were cut with my Cricut, using the Storybook cartridge.  Some well placed rhinestones finished those off,  and then I decided this card needed a picket fence punched border using my Martha Stewart Punch, which I also sponged with a little Sahara Sand ink.  I've had that little white flower button for a long time, but never knew exactly what to do with it.  Well, it worked out beautifully here!  I cut a length of blue gingham ribbon, doubled it over, tied a knot in the center, and ran both ends through the center of the button, leaving the knot on top, and pulling the ends through the bottom.  Please be sure to check out the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog, because the rest of the design team has some awesome eye candy to inspire you, and don't forget to visit their individual blogs and leave them some love!  We all love some love, and your kind thoughts and encouragement are what keep us motivated to do what WE love!  :-D  This card will soon be on it's way to a very special person who's been in my thoughts and very close to my heart for the past couple of weeks.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you are enjoying some glorious Spring weather, and I wish you lots of happy stamping!!

Love ya,
