Recipe Challenge Monday - Backgrounds

Good morning, and a happy Monday morning it is!  How about a recipe challenge to start your week?  Sounds good to me, so let's get to it!!  This week, Julie is challenging us to do backgrounds.  That means stamp your own background paper with whatever tickles your fancy.  Well, for me, I decided channel a little Kojak, and use this Wooooooo Loves You Baby Back Rib recipe with these adorable little owl stamps from Scrapbook Store At Your Door.   I stamped the Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper with these little owls, then stamped them again on white card stock, colored them with my Copics, and punched them out for the page.  To bring out a little of the red contrast, I colored the hearts on the background paper with a red marker.  The patterened "Love" paper on the bottom of this 6x6 card also comes from the Sugar Rush Collection.   I added a strand of this pretty dotted swiss ribbon from Offray for the finishing touch to this page, and VOILA!  One more recipe for the collection.   While I haven't tried this recipe as yet, it's been in my stash for a while, and I'm thinking there's some serious rib eatin' comin' on very soon!!!  I can't wait to try this one out!  YUMMO!!

I will leave you today with a picture of what was looking at me across the breakfast table this morning.  Our little dog, Lola seems to think she rules the roost, and definitely has to make her presence known.  She has designated this as "her chair" for meals.  She never whines, or begs for food, or offers to try to get on the table.  She's just content to sit in "her" chair and watch, all the while hoping you'll drop a crumb!
Thanks for stopping by today!  Please be sure to visit The Recipe Challenge Blog for some amazing inspiration from the rest of the recipe designers.  Julie is giving away some blog candy if you play along with the challenge (See Above), so haul out your favorite recipes, and get to stamping some backgrounds!  Have a glorious day, and happy stamping!

Love ya,

I LOVE how you worked this challenge! Your BG is awesome and it was soooo so clever to bring a little bit of it to the forefront too in the circle. And I am getting a huge kick out of the name for your dish!! AWESOME!

The recipe card is so cute, but Miss Lola steals the show! What a glamour girl she is!!!! If only Charlie were as polite. He gives you the paw, drools (blech!), nudges and sometimes bumps into you. He's a prince, he thinks he can get away with anything...and he can. LOL!
