Face It Friday Challenge, and Babes For A Cure

Hello, and welcome!  I have some fun stuff to share with you today.  To begin with, I have a card for the first ever Face It Friday Challenge over at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog.  We have a new design team, and a brand new challenge for you, so be sure to check it out.  There's prizes to be won, and lots of inspiration just yours for the taking!!

I made this card for my grandson's baby shower.  Cassidy's friend who's hosting the shower was looking for a special invitation, and they just don't get any more special than hand made, so Cassidy and I sat down and designed these.  Without her help, I'd have NEVER gotten 40 of these finished, but between the two of us, we made swift work of it.  I used my Cricut and the Create A Critter cartridge for this card.   I used my PK-753 Small Critter Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps for the giraffe's face.  The sentiment and giraffe on the envie are both from The Angel Company.  The patterned paper comes from Stampin' Up!, and the only embellishments are the chocolate grosgrain ribbon and the clear acrylic dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll leave you with a couple of pictures from my son's ballgame on Saturday night.  He played in the Babes For A Cure game in our county with all proceeds going to our local Relay For Life.   I have to admit I was a little worried when my 26 year old son asked me if I could loan him a bra, some jewelry, and a purse with a hard bottom in it!!  Seriously, it was wonderful to see all of the local law enforcement fellas dress in their Sunday best and play ball for a cure for cancer.  They had to dress like ladies, and carry a purse, which is what they used to catch the ball.  No ball gloves allowed!  It was so funny to watch, especially when they made them run the bases backwards and skip instead of run!!!

Deputy Souther wating in the dugout for his turn to bat, and Lieutenant Shoemaker in that red halter number!  NICE!!!!!

Offering a little direction to a fellow player.  Nice shoes!!!!

I hope you have a wonderful day, and be sure to work in some happy stamping!
Love ya,

Your cards are adorable! As for the ball game, LOL! Takes a "real" man to wear a bra in public! Hope that they raised a ton of money. Obviously all great guys to do that. Must have made for a rather interesting game!
