Hello and good morning! It's a beautiful almost first day of Fall, and I have a warm and wonderful Fall themed card to share today for Peachy Keen's Challenge #37. I used the adorable little PK-609 Build A Scarecrow stamp for this card, and I've got him peeking from inside PK-205 Feed, Santa or Flour Sacks. Both sets that I used on this card can be found at the Peachy Keen Stamps Store. I colored this sweet little guy with my Copic markers. The patterned paper is from Papertrey Ink's Autumn Abundance collection, and for embellishments on this card, I used the grosgrain ribbon, a button, and some baker's twine (also from PTI) for tying the button, and I wrapped it onto the square panel behind my little scarecrow for added interest and texture. There are 5 beautiful, brown half back pearls on the leafy panel, but it's really hard to see them in the photo. The sentiment on the feed sack is from Papertrey Ink's Friendship Jar Fall Fillers stamp set.
Here's what the sketch for this challenge looks like, and Angelica threw in a little twist for this challenge by asking that we use Kraft card stock on our projects. It's a great sketch, and as you can see, I used the ribbon as one of the elements in the sketch.
Be sure to head over to the challenge blog today and check out all the amazing samples that our talented DT have created for you. We have a special guest designer today, than my talented friend Cindy B. I had the priviledge of meeting Cindy at CHA, and she's every bit as sweet as she is talented! Be sure to drop by her blog, Mrs. B's Craftroom and leave her some love, and please tell her I said hi!! All entries for PKS Challenge #37 will be judged, and one lucky winner will receive:
ONE pair of FUNKY, FUN Halloween Socks
ONE Martha Stewart "Drippy Goo" border punch
