SNSS Sponsors Card Positioning Systems

Hello and good morning!  This week, Sweet -n Sassy Stamps is sponsoring the Card Positioning Systems Challenge, and I have a card to share with you for that.  I used the newly released Season of Love stamp set from Sweet -n Sassy Stamps for this one, and once again, I've been playing around with Michelle Zindorf's background techniques.  She has the most amazing tutorials, and her work is so beautiful.  Definitely check out her blog for beautiful samples if you haven't already.
This card sketch is a doozy, and indeed challenging to figure out how to include all the elements of the sketch.  You've gotta love a good challenge!  Head on over to the Card Positioning Systems Blog, to play along for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate at the Sweet -n Sassy Stamps store.  Speaking of the Sweet -n Sassy Stamps Store, you should go check it out, because you'll notice a new look to the site.  Korin's been busy making some changes to it, which I think you're going to love.

I'm really enjoying these silhouette images lately, which is allowing me all this fun with backgrounds.  The colors on this one were so vibrant and fun to work with, and it was all done with the direct to paper technique, except the edges, which I sponged.   The card stock is all from Stampin' Up!, and the patterned paper is from an older stack of K& Co. paper.  I'm not sure what the name of the stack is, but I chose it because it picks up the colors in the background pretty well, and that wasn't an easy task finding patterned paper to do that.

For this card, everything I used was the same as the previous card.  The only difference is the sketch and the size of the card.  I'm really liking these nontraditional colors for a change.  Really different, but effective.

Have you started working on your Christmas cards yet?  Anyone visiting my craft room would be really confused between the Christmas and Halloween stuff that I've got going on.  I just keep hopping back and forth between the two.  What can I say!  It's hard for me to focus on just one thing.  I get an idea, and I'm off!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope I've inspired you to get a head start on those Christmas cards, play along with a challenge or two, and maybe even try a new technique.  Enjoy a beautiful day, and happy stamping!

Love ya,
