What's Kickin', Chicken?

Good morning!  What's kickin', chicken?  I can't help but chuckle when I hear that, and today I noticed that the challenge on Splitcoaststamers Free For All Friday is to get punny, so this is what I'm submitting for that challenge.  Isn't this little rooster cute?  He's a die cut made from the Country Rooster Cottage Cutz die available at The Scrapping Cottage.  Oh, he was fun to color with my Copics.  I started with white card stock and colored him using a couple of texturing techniques with my Copic markers.

I used some Daisy D patterned paper that I had stashed away, because I love the country/vintage look of it, and it worked great with this little rooster.  I followed the sketch from the Friday Sketcher's Challenge Blog for this card, and kept embellishments down to just ribbon and a button tied with twine.  The sentiment is computer generated, and I did add some distressing with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.

It wonderful to have you stop by today.  I hope you have a fabulous weekend, and I wish you many happy blessings!

Love ya,
