Peachy Keen Challenge #9

Hello, good morning, and thanks for joining me today! How about a little spooky spider for a challenge card today? First of all, I have to say that I HATE spiders. I can do mice and snakes, and I've taught Entomology, so I can handle most all creepy crawly things...but spiders!!! Eeek! Well, let's just say this little fuzzy guy is one spider that I can truly LOVE! Isn't he adorable. From his little "evil" looking eyebrows to the four pairs of boots (which crack me up), and that one fang! Heheheheheh... I love that too. Suffice is to say that I love every bit of him, and I thoroughly enjoy coloring him up. I used a stippling technique with my blender pen and ink to give him that spotted look. I liked the bit of texture it added. The challenge this week is to use at least one star, square and cirle on your card or project. Let's see... Yep! There are stars on the hat, the spider is stamped on a square, and those black glitter buttons on the corners are most definitely circles. Mission accomplished!! Please check out the link in my right sidebar and join us for the PKS challenge. We have a wonderful challenge every week, and there are always prizes to win. I love seeing all the wonderful projects every week, and I'd love to see yours too!
My friends Kadie and Mary have me hooked on stitching on cards. I added a little bit of hand stitching to the hat, although it's hard to see. I love me some bling, so the buckle was calling out for some rinestones, and I had to add some sparkle to those swirls with a little more bling. The K&Co. Halloween paper from last season worked beautifully with this. The sparkly web couldn't have been more perfect. Do you notice what I forgot to add to this card? How about a sentiment? I photographed it, then realized that the sentiment was still on the craft table! Duh!! Well, that's the way I roll!! Who needs a sentiment anyway when you've got images like this to showcase on a card?
Thanks for the visit to my blog today, and I hope you have found some inspiration while you were here. May you have a day filled with blessings!

Love Ya!

I don't know how a spider can be so cute, but this totally is!! I love it! I really love how you did the hat and your coloring is (as always) outta this world fantastic!! You have such a gift for watercoloring. I was pointing this out to DH yesterday in showing him your dragon card from Miss Kelly's swap. You're amazing. You always put your bling in just the right spot too!

Eeeeek! Spiders! I had one of these visitors (totally unwelcome, BTW) creep me out just as I was getting ready for bed Sunday night. Blech!

You're little friend is much cuter, and you know, the paper kind, so much friendlier. LOL! Love the little fang on this image! Great web, too!

Oh goodness, Lorie, this is a stunner! I agree, that is a cute "evil" little spider. I'm not much on bugs, but I can take them over rodents and reptiles any day of the week. Ugh. And I hate owls now that one killed my little dog, although I admit I can't resist the cute images of owls. Okay, TMI!

Once again, you've done it again with attention to every little detail. This is a winner all the way!

Hugs,
Lisa
