Sweet Stop Sketch #28

Good morning! Another beautiful Fall day!!! Are you ready for a challenge? Today I'm sharing a card I made for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #28. I used last weeks digi stamps from Sweet -n Sassy Stamps, Sweet Cocoa, and Hot Cocoa Sentiments. I fell in complete love with this little guy from the first moment I laid eyes on him, and boy, did I have a hard time making myself complete the projects and cards I had going before I would color him up!! I think I'll use Cocoa for my Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. A group of us who have been stamping and swapping for almost two years participate in a monthly challenge with a theme, and this month, we are doing a Christmas card in non traditional colors. This card also meets a couple other of my favorite challenges. I used the Tuesday Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers, and I played along with the challenge on Papercraft Planet in the Sweet -n Sassy Stamps forum, where Leah challenged us to use a snowflake on our card for this week. I love it when I can use a card for so many challenges. Makes me feel like so much thought went in to my card, and actually... it did!
I don't know how you can look at the adorable little Cocoa and not want to have him to use on all your favorite holiday projects and cards!!! He's a digi, so there's instant gratification there! I used my SU inks and aquapainter to color this little fella, and I tried to rough up the paper a bit to give him some texture and make him look "fuzzy". I added some Stickles to the snowflakes on the cup, and the punched snowflake, and I handstitched the criss cross border. I finished this card off with some pearls in the centers of the snowflakes. What a fun card this is, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of sweet little Cocoa! Please be sure and play along at the Sweet Stop. You could be the lucky winner of a fabulous prize.
Thanks for stopping by today. I wish you a day filled with blessings, and happy stamping!! Please come back soon!
Love Ya!

This is such a cute image, and I love how you used him! The textures (stitching, ribbon, and distressing) make him so snuggly. Love it!
