Sweet -n Sassy Release Sneak Peek

Good morning!  Are you ready for a sneak peek of one of the fabulous stamp sets that will be released at Sweet -n Sassy Stamps tomorrow?  This card was made with the soon to be released Melody of Love stamp set.  I decided I would use the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge for this week while I was at it, and WOW!!  Was this ever a great sketch to work with!!  There's still time if you'd like to play along.

This image was a dream to color with my SU inks and an aquapainter/blender pen.  I used one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders on the half circle, and some thin mulberry paper around the edge of the circle to frame it.  The stitching was done by hand using a scallop pattern around the circle, and straight stitch with french knots at the corners for the image frame.  I gave everything a spritz of burgundy and artichoke ink with my color spritzer tool, and distressed the edges with a healthy dose of Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.  The moss colored taffeta ribbon was gathered by fraying one end of the ribbon, and then pulling on a couple of the center threads to make it ruffle.  I finished the card off with some Prima flowers, and pearl accents.  I have special plans for this card, so I pulled the sentiment from the Trees of the Field set, which is also from SNSS, and placed it in this little antique book plate.

Be sure to get on over to the Sweet -n Sassy store tomorrow, where you can buy this great stamp set, plus 5 of the other releases all for only $40.00!!  Thanks for stopping by today, and I wish for you a day filled with blessings and happy stamping!!

Love ya,
