Mardi Gras Sisterhood Swap

Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you had a fantastic weekend. The weather here was gorgeous! Highs in the upper 60's-low 70's sunny and WONDERFUL!!!! Today I'm sharing the cards I made for the Sisterhood Swap for February, which has a Mardi Gras theme. I took the theme literally, but I think the idea of this swap was BLING! Mary encouraged us to pull out all the stops, and use our embellies. Glitter is one of my favs., and you can sure tell it by the look of my craft room after making these cards!!! There's glitter everywhere!!!!! I found these great glitter tatoo/stickers at the dollar store, and since I didn't have an appropriate stamp, I was happy with the find. I stamped the background with the Bella Toile stamp, and used my Cuttlebug for some texture on a couple of the background pieces. The layout for this card came from last weeks sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

I edged the white card stock with sticky strip, and added glitter. The tassel I tied myself with some gold cord, and I thought those glass leaf beads that I had on hand looked somehwhat like feathers, so on they went too. The glittery pieces along the side of the card, are simply glue dots covered in glitter. Once I got started, it came together nicely, and I think I'm happy with how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by, and have a beautiful day!!
Love ya!
Lorie

Sparkle-riffic, Lorie! Love them both, but that mask is TDF! Great job with the challenge! I'm still "formulating" mine.
