Whipper Snapper Cop

Well, a couple of weeks ago Hanna Stamps DT member, Sandra Mclean issued a challenge to use fabric on a card or project. I did get a start on that challenge, but life and a case of the flu got in the way, and I didn't get it finished before the deadline. I was determined not to let my project go unfinished, so when my new Whipper Snapper stamps arrived, I decided the little scrapbook I'd started to cover with fabric for the Hanna challenge would be a perfect place for this big, bad cop. The embossed looking fabric I chose has a leather look to it, and I originally purchased it for some purses I was making. I covered the chipboard book with the fabric, and watercolored the cop with my SU inks and a blender pen. I added some metal star embelishments, and ribbon to hold the image in place, and as decorative trim. I chose the brown/tan color scheme because it looks like my son's uniform. He's a deputy sheriff, and I thought this would be nice for him to have to write down funny (or sometimes not so funny) things that happen. Suffice is to say that I'm sure there is never a dull moment at the old Sheriff's office! Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're having a beautiful Saturday, and I wish you a warm and peaceful weekend! May the good Lord bless and keep you today and always!

Love ya!

Lorie

Oh my gosh Lorie!! This is fabulolus! I just got my first order of WS stamps and I think I'm already addicted - they're SOOO much fun to color aren't they? This fabric doesn't even look like fabric Lorie - it BEAUTIFULLY done! I think I have the head cold thing you had now....feeling very uninspired at the moment. Blah!
