Forget-Me-Not

Good mornin' to ya! I hope it's a beautiful day wherever you are. The sun is shining here, and it promises to be a glorious day...well, for a while anyway. I think there's rain moving in, but we can use a little rain around here, so we're looking forward a few showers. No flooding, though! Just a few showers.
I have another card made with a Sweet -n Sassy digital stamp. Aren't these forget-me-nots pretty? This gorgeous set was illustrated by the very talented Korin Sutherland. I hope she won't mind that I share the information about what she is doing with some of the proceeds from this digital stamp set. I truly believe in the importance of giving our love and support to others in whatever way we can, and this is such a generous way to share that gift. Sharing a gift of love through papercrafting and stamping! What could be better?!!! By living with and caring for my elderly grandparents, I know first hand just how this disease affects individuals and families. This would be a great opportunity to give a digital stamp a try, and at the same time give to The Alzheimer's Association. Here is a link to this Sweet -n Sassy Digital Stamp.

Forget-Me-Not
$5.00
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps will donate $2.00 from each digi set sold to the
Alzheimer's Association to help with their efforts to provide and enhance care and support for all those affected by this heartbreaking disease.

I have really had a blast with the digital stamps that I've been playing with. These beauties were inspired by some flowers I have planted in the back yard that are the prettiest colors of coral and red. When I found this K&Co. paper with the same gorgeous colors, everything just kind of came together. I did quite a bit of sponging on the edges of all the papers, and I finally put some of those wonderful latte buttons from Stampin' Up! to good use! If you haven't tried playing with a digital stamp yet, I encourage you to give it a whirl. It's very easy, and a great way to try out images to see if you like them, or maybe you'd like to make one special card, but don't think you'd ever use the stamp again. I don't do anything special, or use any special ink to print. I just use my regular whisper white cardstock, and print away. I do heat set the images with an iron to help prevent bleeding when I watercolor, and then when I'm all finished with an image I heat set the ink once again with an iron.
I would like to give special thanks to those of you who have sent congratulations, and shown your love, support, and encouragement in so many ways the past couple of days. I am so excited to be a part of the upcoming Sweet -n Sassy Design Team, and I can never truly express how much your support and encouragement means to me. God has blessed me in so very many ways, and I consider YOU...my friends a very special blessing. Have a lovely day, dear ones, and HAPPY STAMPING!!
Love ya!

A wonderful card Lorie! I love that vintage look to it. And I think I'm going to have to try that iron trick because my inkjet printer smudges even when I heat set it with a heat gun. I have to take mine to work and use the lazer printer. Do you have an inkjet at home too?
