Well, it's Wednesday, and the week is already half over. I've been so busy making cards, that I'm looking around, wondering where the week went!! I guess time really does fly when you're having fun!! Yes, indeed, these challenges were fun.
My first card was created for the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #266. Korin Sutherland is guest hosting the challenge this week for Roxi, and she asked the DT if we'd like to play along. I try not to pass up many challenges, and I'm certainly not going to pass one up that our Korin is hosting!! You'll be seeing all of the wonderful submissions with this sketch for the next few days on SCS, so why don't you play along too!! This adorable little puppy was illustrated by Korin, and is available in the Sweet -n Sassy Stamps store. I love my Labrador Retrievers, so I colored this fella up with my Copics to look like a lab puppy. The paper is some I've had stashed away and is from Making Memories. The dog bone buttons are some I found at our local Ben Franklin store. I saw them, and just knew that I NEEDED them. That was last summer, and sure enough! I did NEED them!! They worked so perfectly with this card. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Now on to the second card, and second challenge for today. This card is for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge Blog, which is being sponsored by The Stamping Boutique this week. This little Twirling Fairy can be purchased as a digi download from TSB, and was a dream to color! When I saw this image, I could see the color palette before anything else. This one was also colored with my Copic markers, and the DP is from K&Co. I added some Dazzling Diamonds to her wings, Martha Stewart Best Wishes taffeta ribbon, and some Primas with rhinestones to bling this card out. This is my first DT card for The Stamping Boutique, and I was anxious to give this sketch a try... you know... to get that "first" one finished and out of the way. Now, I can relax and enjoy!! WOW!! What a sketch this is!! I was glad to see that it was a square card, which afforded me plenty of room for this great image.
Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you've been inspired to take on some of those challenges! I know you're gonna love it!! Wishing you a glorious day filled with blessings!!
