Hello, and happy Sunday afternoon/Superbowl Sunday! I know there are a lot of football fans out there who will soon be glued to the TV rooting for their favorite team, and that's GREAT!! Thank heaven, I have stamping, though, because I'm not much for football. I really just like the commercials! LOL!!
Well, it's time for another Kit Cat Challenge. A group of girls from the Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards thread on SCS decided to take turns sharing the same card kit each month, just to see how differently we would each create a card with the same kit. It has been such a blast!! This month our kit came from the sweet and fabulous Susan. Susan was trying to give us a breath of Spring with this kit, providing us with this great Stamping Bella image called Cruiseabella. When looking at the second picture, can't you just smell the fresh air, and feel the warm sun? For some, that's not a problem, but for our east coast friends, that may be a stretch! Whew!! They've had one heck of a storm!!! I'm hoping everyone is staying safe and warm!!
Susan's card kit came with a challenge for us to either try a new fold on a card, or do one of our favorites. I have to admit that I usually keep things pretty simple with the fold, so they are pretty much all new to me. I decided to try a gate fold card. I have to laugh, because every month, I have it in my head that I just HAVE to use everything included in the kits, and while I came close, I didn't quite get the job done with this card. I did however use almost every scrap of paper in the package. Oh, this is some lucious paper!! I colored Miss Bella with my Copic markers, and sponged some clouds in the background. I used the blue rhinestones included in the kit for the headlights, and finished the inside embellishments with a prima flower. I added some background colors to the flower with my Copcis, and used yet another one of the pretty rhinestones included for the center. For the outside of this card, and the band, I used the photo corners, more rhinestones, fibers, flower brad, and cute tassels, which were also a part of this amazing kit.
Please be sure to check the rest of the Kit Cat blogs for their take on this creative and fun challenge. Click on their name to find out what Susan, Kelly, Jeanette, Catherine, and Michelle have put together for your inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a blessed day! Love ya, and happy stamping!
