Hello and good day to you! I made this card yesterday, and what a perfect day it was for it! Just after lunch time, it started thundering in the distance, and we had a beautiful slow and steady rain for about 4 hours. The cloudy skies made the house so dark, the pitter patter of the rain on the windows was so soothing, and I found my eyes getting oh, so heavy. Before I knew it, I was sleeping soundly on the couch. The next think I heard, three hours later was grandpa saying it was almost 3:30 p.m. I awoke feeling refreshed, renewed, and ready for some stamping, and this was the result. Yes, I would say that we were showered with blessings, and how perfect is this digital stamp illustrated by Courtney Fowler titled very appropriately Showers of Blessings. This is such a sweet image, and the scripture that accompanies it is truly inspirational. It's one of my new favorites, and can be purchased at Sweet -n Sassy Stamps!
The sketch for this card comes from this weeks Sweet Stop Challenge #14, and I combined it with the SCS Color Challenge this week, which was to use, Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal, Pixie Pink, and Neutrals of your choice. The DP is some more of that wonderful DCWV Garden Party Paper. The photo doesn't nearly do it justice, because almost every flower on that paper is embossed with glitter. It's just gorgeous!! I used my Martha Stewart lattice edge punch and added some pink primas with a rinestone for the center, which goes well with the sparkle in the DP.
I pray that our good and gracious Lord showers you with many blessings today. It's been my experience that if we slow down and take time to look, and listen for them, we will find them in abundance. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!! Have a glorious day, my stamping friends!
I Love Ya!
